FIRST OFF, they f*cked up human sub-zero, made scorpion as cheap as he can be with all these moves, the story was cheesy and dreadful..the fatalities were pretty much all the same, nothing special, I found the babalities more cooler then the fatalities that's how lame they were. Ed Boon is getting old and dumb at the same time and is ruining this franchise! the entrances to most of the characters are super cheesy and dumb... what part of "WE WANT THE HUMAN VERSION OF REPTILE" did they not understand? ( sucks for the peeps that didn't preorder from amazon ) ... like for GOD sakes, they should've gave this game to the santa monica studio! they prolly would've done a way better job, and last but not least ...KRATOS! like why is he so slow? and why the hell does he have 50 weapons?!? is Ed Boon THAT f*cken ret*rded?!?! like they almost ruined that exlusive entity. Stupid developers

Tanya and Rain were also on the original trilogy and are not on this game

Tanya appears chained on the coliseum but she's never mentioned and there's nothing about Rain

KingJFS4715d ago

Tanya didn't make her first appearance until MK4 and Rain first debuted in the console versions of UMK3/Mortal Kombat Trilogy.

lol. I'm totally playing as Sheeva through the arcade ladder after reading this.

xAlmostPro4715d ago

What with the mastery.. im pretty sure the trophy doesn't require 24 hours play time with each character, isn't it play through the ladder with each character..

that's how my buddy got it. Unless im thinking of a different trophy, he mentioned the mastery one though.

Kahvipannu4714d ago

Actually there is achievement/trophy taht requires you to master ALL characters, that's over 350 hours even when playing tag-atches all the time.. :S

I have only mastered Jade, and that required a lot of playtime, x-rays, and fatalities, can't imagine who would master them all..

Tzuno4714d ago

The challenge tower reward should have been Mortal Kombat 1 Remastered in HD not that stupid costume.

Daver4714d ago

I agree that the reward for the challenge tower is weak but fortunetly the game rocks!

Kahvipannu4714d ago

Hmmm, these really aren't secrets, more like observations or eastereggs. Hidden klassik kombats, hidden krypt treasurechest, performing babalities to bosses, etc, are secrets..

My favorite is always going to be Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. I know some people didn't like the addition of the run button. But, man that game is burned into my memory from childhood, lol.

Relientk77159d ago

That's the one I played the most as a kid. Fun times gaming on my Sega Genesis, the memories

Terry_B158d ago

Deception, MK2, MK9, MKX ..rest.

Kakashi Hatake158d ago

MK2 will always be the best in the series. Been playing a lot of MK1 lately though. Definitely enjoying it more than any other NRS era MK game.

Tankbusta40158d ago

1 and 2 were cultural phenomenon's.

I will always have a special place in my memory for MK 1 and 2. You had to be there during that era at the arcades. Martial arts tournament fighting movies were still popular, and MK 1 was exciting. Real life motion captured characters done well (unlike Pit Fighter). A cast of characters we all liked like Bruce Lee(Lui Kang), Van Damme(Johnny Cage), the Lightning god(Raiden) from Big Trouble in Little China, and Ninjas, gotta have Ninjas. Goro was menacing as hell. The MK arcade had some of the best speakers similar to Killer Instinct as you could hear the loud crisp and bassy sound that was distinctly different than other arcades. MK 2 improved greatly on the controls and fighting mechanics
