Indeed, I own all 5 of those PS3 games and 3 of them for years. Stardust was the 1st game to ever get trophies back in '08, and I just platinumed Dead Nation while PSN was down lol! Bought it on a PS Plus sale.

Wish they woulda opened up more cheapo 1st party games from the PS Store like ModNation & MAG etc. LBP sold almost 5 million. Who hasn't played that? WipeOut is ALREADY free on PS Plus, so people can get it free with their 30 days anyways. Kinda defeats the purpose to be free twice. At least I'll scoop up all 4 of those PSP games between accounts.

Dead Nation and infamous is my choice thank god I choose another game then dead nation when they was on sale. I played super stardust got LBP2, got wipeout yay me.

MAG would've benefited IMMENSELY from this with its 256 player selling point. Online-only games need people to remain viable. This would've helped MAG's long queues tenfold. I almost wish they gave away DCUO to try and repopulate those dying servers. It was amazing back in January with high player counts. Woulda been nice to see again if only for the free month.

I'm a plus member, and this list looks just fine to me. I never got LBP free, never got Wipeout free, never got Infamous free... you still had to pay for all of them with plus (though some did get discounts), so your point is moot. Get WipEout HD just for the Fury update, the new tracks are good (4, plus 4 only available in a few modes like Zone) and the Eliminator mode is a blast to play, especially online. If you like the game you'll love the expansion.

Sony should give those loyal customers that already own it, like 30 dollar credit to the store.

The reason they have 4-5 titles to choose is because they don't want multiple accounts to take all of the games.

If they check your trophies or buying history they should know. just give those accounts money.

you also get the free PS+ which = even more free games and discounts (and a free 2 month extension if you have it already), so I wouldn't be complaining.

Again, Sony can't give a $30 credit to every one of it's 75 million PSN subscribers. That's $2,250,000,000 you're expecting them to dish out (they still have to pay for those games if they just give you a credit, even the first party ones gotta be compensated for somehow to keep the studios from losing too much money). Offering a list of games to choose from was the only route they could have taken and not gone broke.

They don't get rewarded for not buying, some people are in a position to better take advantage of this offer than others, just like any other offer.

There's 70 million accounts and all of those games combined haven't sold near that, so Sony will probably make most of their userbase happy.

The only one I can take advantage of is the Fury expansion, already own everything else. Oh well.

I didn't bitch because the timing was perfect for me. I don't do any online gaming on PS3 aside from Demon's Souls. I had the Gears 3 beta to fall back on when PSN went down.

I also agree with you that this wasn't Sony's fault and that they owe us nothing. However, I think what they've decided to offer is rather insulting. It will cost them nothing to give these games away. They are just throwing stuff at us that nobody buys anymore.

I suggest at least getting super stardust hd, it is one of the top psn games that I own and I own 98 psn games. I also have dead nation and that is a pretty good game from what I have played and I heard little big planet is good, but I suggest at least getting super stardust hd(you wont be disappointed) if you like shooters at all.

I was at the Sony meetings where your specific name came up when they were deciding what do give out. Many of the high profile games were mentioned but they saw that you have alot of these games and alluded to the fact that not all Sony users have your library. They decided on rolling out a mix of good games with games users might have missed. They wondered how you would feel since you had many of these games. One exec said, "Wont he be pissed?" A long, boisterous group laugh came from the participants of the meeting.

For example, if I have 2 PSN accounts, do I get 4 free games instead of 2?

And if its locked to machines, what if I have 2 PS3s? Do I get 4 free games, too?

I already have dead nation,super stardust hd, and wipeout hd fury(Import: wipe out hd + fury add-on pack on a blue ray disc), so I will be getting infamous and little big planet. Since I also have a psp I think I will be getting mod nation racers and pursuit force( I plan on getting a hard copy of killzone liberation in the future). Not to mention a free month of psn +(free 60 days for existing subscribers), many virtual items for home, and some free movie rentals.

Out of the big three I have not known any other company to give this much away for free because of customer inconvenience that had lasted 24 days. I was maybe hoping(not demanding or entitled to) to get a free game(that I was not expecting to be a top tier game) and a month of psn +, but what they are actually offering far exceeded my expectations and for both psn+ subscribers and FREE PSN MEMBERS at that. I am very grateful, thank you GOD. Two thumbs way up sony.

I got all of those games. So again, who wins? Cheap people who wanted these games but didn't want to spend money. These sane people who are happy that they got PS+ for a month now were also too cheap to subscribe to it. So people who actually subscribed to PS+ and spent their hard earned money on the listed games basically get nothing. Nice move sony.... And I suppose everyone thibks this is fair.

No, you do have a good point. The selection was too limited for as many IPs as Sony owns and as many customers as they have. Sony offer a larger selection of compensation games when you call them to %$# about your latest YLOD/BD Drive repair or whatever. I should know. I picked Heavenly Sword from an email with a dozen titles including the already mentioned LBP & inFamous.

They need to reward the people that keep their developers in business by actually buying these games and not just the people that don't. No one should feel like a sucker for having already bought all these games, yet some do, and I do feel bad for them. At least give them an "I'm hardcore" avatar or something, heh!

Problem is, I'm a huge Sony supporter. My PS3 games collection is at 230 not counting the DLC games which is I believe is around 60-70 games. Plus the fact that I'm PS+ member since day one and every electronic equipment I own is from Sony. But yeah, they screw over the people who actually keeping them in business and giving to people who don't spend as much. That makes a lot of sense huh? Not to me, but I'm the minority it seams.
