God of War Portable Compilations on PS3

If the source is trustworthy, the fans of God of War series will be treated with another HD remake of God of War games.

SCET (Sony Computer Entertainment of Taiwan) has announced that both God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta will be available for PS3 this July.

I think this would be more plausible if it was for NGP considering it would be a great launch title. Not sure about a PS3 port though but that be nice especially if it has trophies.

I already played both on the PSP. Ghost Of Sparta with Kratos Brother was especially good.

I am sold day1 ,.. though I doubt they have saved so much of high resolution data and assets(textures,models) as they had with gow1,2,.. but who knows,,.. damn GOW1,2 collection games look so incredible,..(they make fmv cut-scenes look like shit,.. that is how good GOW1 and2 look on PS3)

Story wise Ghost of Sparta is better, I was addicted to Chains of Olympus more than Ghost of Sparta. Chains of Olympus is shorter than Ghost of Sparta.

It's not the number of games that milks a series, it's the time between them. Three Guitar Heros in one year is milking a series. A CoD and Halo every year is milking a series. As much as I hate to say it, even Assassins Creed is being milked.

It's a great thing for gamers... cos I haven't played these games, or the splinter cell trilogy, so for me they're great. But... they are definitely milking the franchises..as in getting as much money out of them for the least amount of effort.

no , milking means making the same game with only few things changed .. assassin creed is not milking because it have alots of improvment , but cod - halo are milked..

i would say god of war milked if it didn't have new things , if you played it you will understand , the gameplay doesn't have alots of new things but the story is amazing !! the game is soooo brutel , big , hard and hard , but not hard for me :P ..

i don't even know why people suggest that ds games can compete. their not bad, but they stink in comparison with the psp.

i should know whist having both, i only picked up the ds...well...i would make an attempt to get into spirit tracks which is good, but when my psp was right there with god of war, daxter, and peace walker, ds just wasn't an option

I would LOVE this to be true.

I have both CoO and GOS, but I've been dying to play them on my 40" Samsung with a dual shock.

I'd be all over this collection so bad. I'd like more PSP HD conversions, or, at the least, the ability to play PSP games bought from the PSN on my PS3. They could even sell the emulator on PSN for a few bucks and I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Give me a PSP and PS2 emulator via the PSN, and I'd be set.

I'd be interested if the price was right. I have Chains of Olympus, but I got stuck half way through, and since I only play PSP on the road, I never get around to figuring out how to get passed that part with a walkthrough. And I've held off on buying Ghost of Sparta because of it.

I'll never get around to playing all my PSP games as it is, so I'd rather finish Chains of Olympus on PS3 along with Ghost of Sparta and get some trophies out of it.

I agree, I hated some of the ribbon achievements for PW, most required Co-op and Adhoc playthroughs. I have my PSP but I rather the game on the PS3 due to some online components. However I loved the soldier recruitment from Portable Ops with Wifi.

I prefer to play GOW on a TV instead. Don't get me wrong playing them on PSP was great but it really didn't feel as epic as playing it on TV.

If this happens then I can have all the trophies of all GOW games. I don't play for trophies in most games but GOW trophies I really want.

Edit: @49erguy Peace Walker is my favorite PSP game. I would love to play it on PS3 too.

I hope this turns out to be fake. The reason I say that is because Sony has said in the past when the NGP comes out some PSP games will come out on the NGP as PSP game collections. Just like how the PS3 got PS2 game collections.

So to me that would be an unwise move to bring the PSP games to the PS3. When you could have people buy them for the NGP instead.

I know a lot of people would really enjoy it on the PS3. But to me it just seems like a better move to bring the games to the NGP. So this way people go out & buy an NGP to play these GOW games.

All signs point to yes. They already have Deimos built for God of War III via an unlockable skin in the GoW:GoS initial launch copies. I'm thinking this is exactly what Ready at Dawn and Santa Monica have been so quiet on over the past year +...

...I mean think about it. Santa Monica supposedly has 3 projects in the works right now. How difficult, really, would it be to assume that two of those projects are fully HD realized iterations of CoO and GoS? Working alongside with Ready At Dawn as their consultants and main programmers...this would be a fantastic entry for RaD into the home console market. Polish that beauty you've already created and flex your home console muscle...then they can go to work on their own home console release/s.
