How to beat the best FPS games on Veteran difficulty

That's not the point of the article. Although, you may not feel it's the best, it's a very popular game that many people own. If you're going to create a guide on how to beat various modern shooters, it only makes sense to include it.

But Half Life 2 doesn't have a "Veteren" difficulty so title = fail.

It doesn't really matter what they call it, it gets its point across and isn't misleading in any way. Halo's hardest difficulty is called "Legendary" and Killzone's hardest difficulty is called "Elite". "Veteran" is simply a term many people are familiar with. Using the vernacular of your audience helps make the article more comfortable and comprehensible for the readers.

LMFAO wow beating FPS games on the hardest difficulty isn't hard at all....well except Radec(May you turn in your grave you bastard!) Key to it is:

1) Figure out the respawn for the area your in. Its either kill off the wave or push to stop the spawn.

2)Use your basic shooting knowledge. Don't be stupid, your not freakin Rambo. Take cover and reload at any given time, that last bullet could have killed him.

3) Do NOT depend on your AI teammates. For some odd reason theyre always the dumbest on the hardest difficulty.

4) Headshots. Plain and Simple.

5)Insert Custom Tactic Here.

Lately ive been starting all my games on the hardest difficulty because ive noticed it adds more hours to the game(dying, collecting and what not). Vanquish, Bulletstorm, Black Ops, MW2. Gotta do KZ3 now...ONLY CUZ I THOUGHT THERE WAS ANOTHER RADEC LIKE BASTARD, DONT JUDGE ME!

Yeah I was dreading getting to the end of Killzone 3 thinking there would be an army of helghast and MAWLR babies waiting to kill me... I felt relieved but also a bit dissapointed when there wasn't :(

And run from cover to cover in some games to evade grenades.

Then get killed by your own grenade, restart miles away. and repeat

This wasn't worth posting...unless you just plain SUCK at gaming. The difference between Hard and Veteran (or whatever a game uses for it's higher difficulties) is never much...usually just more bullets and grenades flying your way, and slower health regen. I've never played a shooter that gave me problems on the hardest difficulty...certainly none on this list. Somebody must have been bored, and out of ideas...and desperate for hits.

Not everyone may be as adept at games as you or I. In fact, they may be new to shooters or gaming in general. Seeing as these games are so popular, there's a good chance that many newcomers want to be able to fully complete the game.

I KNOW HAVE BEATN A FEW OF THOSE ON THAT LIST ON VET SINCE IM NOT THE HALO PERSON, I AM WORKING ON THAT RIGHT NOW ON LEGENDARY MODE.....AND IM STARTING OVER ON CRYSIS 2 ON SUPERSOILDER SINCE I REALLY LIKE THAT GAME EVEN THO IM NOT DONE...... Also Killzone 3 wasn't hard at all. They should have removed those unlimited ammo boxes from elite difficulty.
