I can't wait either. I have always been a big Bioware fan and think the Mass Effect series is some of their best work.

The lighting and shadowing looks improved. It looks like they might be using actual dynamic lighting and shadows similar to other upcoming Unreal 3 games like Gears of War 3. To me this makes a huge difference in the quality of the graphics.

I'm also really happy that they are expanding the RPG elements in the game. Mass Effect 2 was still a fantastic game for what it was, but more depth will be greatly appreciated.

I can't wait to see how all the story arcs play out in Mass Effect 3.

I'm SO happy that my choices in the Original Mass Effect are going to take effect in the Third title. I was dissapointed with characters who could have potentially died in the original, however survived, only making cameos in the second title. It sounds as though Bioware had the plot mapped out from the begining, what with the choice of killing or saving the Rachni Queen. Also, I'm glad to have heard in the details released a few days ago that the third installment is going to feature enhanced RPG elements, hopefully like the Original Mass Effect (My favourite out of the two) with the addition of the second games combat. I look forward to finishing one of the finest trilogy's this generation...

Beyond the Mass Effect trilogy, I wouldn't be surprised if an MMO was conceived based in that universe. Although I think Bioware has got it's hands all tied up with SWTOR at the moment.

If they stick to the hard core sci-fi literature that it is based upon, all of civilization will eventually die... But for an abundance of reasons I suspect they will choose a candy coated version, because the reality of Galaxy wide extinction events is probably too hard for people not versed in current thinking in hard core sci-fi to accept.

So it will end "happily ever after".

well ya and I think they would like to expand, so to basically handcuff yourself into only prequels, would take a lot of future away from universe.

I hope that they dont kill off all life in universe, though no one would see that coming.

Well, the whole point of mass effect was to have your decisions influence the sequels. SO I think that If you did everything "wrong", you could very well have a bad ending. I'd like that anyway.

So no more focusing on the shooting elements with ammo and non customization to weapons...because they were the two main things in ME2 that buged me....it didn't feel as much as an RPG as the first one

well you need to finish mass effect 2 AT LEAST 4 to 5 times to get full experience, and hardcore or insanity difficulty.

too many do 1 normal soldier playthrough and stop, and thats just a crime.

me I've started about 10 games that I havn't finished. Mass Effect 2 is one of them. I enjoyed it corrupt save file leaves me at a "meh, someday" phase.

I hate that they say it ends the trilogy, but then the following scan says they're not done with the ME universe.
Makes me think they have some lame plan to milk it in the works.

The original story was so epic they could easily make it longer than 3 games, especially when not a lot happens in ME2 concerning the reapers. I would much rather see them pace things out than try and cram everything into one last game.
Plus where does that leave the next games if the reapers are stopped, spinoffs like DA2 only named correctly.

And don't even get me started on seeing the word "multiplayer" in those scans. Stay on track bioware, I'm warning you, we all want this to be good.

God damn, there is a chick in the style of Grey Fox, or Cyborg Ninja. So epic looking. I'm very interested in Mass Effect 3 given all the information I know already. Although I did absolutely love Mass Effect 2 and all the released DLC.

The only thing I'm hoping for is that they made the animations more varied and less stiff. Also, I'm sure each species moves/acts differently, so how about we see that exist in gameplay too. This won't make or break the game for me though, I'll buy it regardless.

you wont see new animations I will assume. I honestly think that the gameplay will largely stay intact, while adding new story, characters, stats, weapon options, levels. It is a 2 year window, not enough time to change animations and core gameplay all too much

Woah Woah Woah, just read that the Alliance takes back the Normandy cuz they feel it's theirs??????? WTF? I know its just an excuse for BioWare to make the Normandy look better, but if in my renegade playthrough, and in most peoples i'm sure the alliance and "the council" don't like you now. Doesn't seem to really convince me. Anyways I'm gonna try to avoid some of these articles, ME2 was spoiled wayy to much for me.

HELL YESSSS!!!! GOTDecade for me. Best series ive played ever. The first was so engrossing and atmosheric and the second had amazing gameplay and cinematic blockbuster appeal. Merge that with great rpg elements and this will be the perfect ending to a trilogy. I cannot wait to finish the story for myself and see how my choices play out.
