So Many Games, So Few Good Ones...

BMC - Remember when videogames didn’t matter? The proverbial back in the day that gamers love to wax poetic over took place in a time when the medium was in its infancy? They were simpler times in which the public paid little attention to the “toy” that they didn’t understand. Don’t sleep, most of that very same public still gets that glossy eyed look of confusion when the topic of videogames is breached; but mainstream America has reluctantly accepted the importance of games.

Standards are slipping
Day 1 patches and DLC
Using customers as beta testers
Far too short campaigns , a shooter should be 10 hours min on normal mode

-Mezzo-4764d ago

I agree, I think 10+ hours Campaign should be made Mandatory.

I agree i was hyped for
GT5 KZ3 Socom 4 Resistance 3 imfamous 2 Uncharted 3

GT 5 was good but now i have a projector it really shows how bad the game is graphically i can not enjoy it.

KZ3 I'm not even go there just i've gone back 2 kz2 =)

Socom 4 i was amped for but then when i played the beta it seemed abit stiff =/ if they fix that i will get it though.

And the rest will have to wait and see. another thing that really bugs me is the diffuclty settings being an unlock ? lol come on
And when its on hard you take less bullets and they take more...can they not create a very inteligent A.I
I don't mind there not being loads of charectars on screen etc but these A.I spaming nades and having unlimited Ammo does my head in why do they never run out?

GodofwarGoty4764d ago

dont forget so little time to play them all

Kalowest4764d ago

Who put up the KZ3 image on th is article, i hope it represents the 'Few Good Ones'.

Chapulin4763d ago

Demons Souls 2, inFamous 2, Killzone 3, Motorstorm Apocalypse, LBP2, Resistance 3, Rage, Twisted Metal, Gears 3, DC online, FFXIV, Crysis 2, Battlefield 3. So many good games coming. The bar has been raised tremendously.

ngecenk4763d ago

gotta agree with the article. i think there are tendencies to release shorter games from different developer, but same publisher. i think they already figured it out that its easier to market a 'short' game than to create a great game that gonna stick a long time.

i love kz2, and i played it for 6 months. right now i dont even touch my kz3 since crysis 2 gone out. its good but its way to short. the map is tremendously beauty but it doesnt make sense that they dont allow all mode to be played on all map. makes the operation mode looks extremely repetitive.

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
