No Collectors Edition for LA Noire - Rockstar confirms

Rockstar has officially confirmed that the police game, LA Noire will not be entitled to a Collector's Edition, when it launches in May.

Well, they had the pre-order edition where you got extra outfits and some accessories that actually help out in the game, which was pretty nifty.

The UK got a collector's edition.

By collector's edition they meant, you pay an extra £10 and get a shiny slip-cover and the War Horse, golden guns and an outfit.

I'm suprised, everything gets a special edition. GTAIV got one it came with a cd and was in like a metal lockbox and dufflebag. Red Dead didn't have one, well they kinda did at Gamestop but it didn't cost extra. It just came with a bonus costume and a slipcover.

Whatever, I'm glad, everyone gets the same thing and they don't have to pay extra.

Rockstar always saves their CE goodies for their online store. Why dock on $10 to the game price when you can sell it as a standalone for $20

I'm almost certain the game's soundtrack will be awesome, so I would have liked to have that for a potential collector's edition. An artbook with art deco stylings would have also been appreciated. Oh well, as long as the game is as awesome as I think it is, I'll be happy

I'm not surprised. Rockstar only puts out CEs for games that they make. Rockstar isn't making LA Noire but people think they are which is the only reason it will get good sales. Casual gamers are easily fooled.
