True...I loved Mass Effect 2 but I felt like a some points it was a step back from the first one.

Like Thermal Clips as ammo....seriously. I thought it was nice that the first one wasn't trying to be like everyother shooter out there. The over heating system made you think about your battles and how many shots you could get it before it overheated and when to use your biotics.

you keep "owning" on cod because it help you like a parent holding a childs hand across the road. its full of aim assiting option and shit so it makes you feel good and makes you feel like your awesome (which your not) and that really shows when you play things like battlefield and counter strike and killzone which require a level of skill.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit won for multi-player? wtf.. That ain't right.

CoD: Black Ops (X360) should have won that.

I could have said Bad Company 2.. but I was just on that game's multiplayer yesterday.. and it was terrible, I don't know wtf has happened to that game since I last played it about a year ago. All I know was that my team was losing.. and then all of a sudden, I found myself to be the only player left on my team.. and the other team had around 6-9 players.. Didn't make any sense.. lol, so I just left the game.

Anyway, I don't care what anyone says.. I experience no problems whatosever with Black Ops every time I jump onto my 360 to play it.. I get into a game almost instantly & I have fun. :)

Sound is amazing, each firefight I run into with another player is epic, just really good over all.

People don't praise CoD: Black Ops enough.. too many haters out there.

It's not the same crap every year, actually.

Sure, you do the same stuff like shoot enemies like in every FPS.. But each CoD game has a different story, different theme of some sort.. And multi-player is different in some way as well.

They're not all 100% the same.

Heavy rain certainly deserved all the awards it received. COD did not deserve one but it was expected. It sucks that Mass effect 2 only got one but it's still an achievement.

My absolute favorite game (all-time status) won Best Gameplay and i'm happy as heck. It's a masterpiece of excellence. I think it should have won Best Music as well but congrats to the winners. Nominations are AWESOME people, you should feel content you get to play your favorite game anytime you want! :)

...Basically, if its a Playstation game, it should have won the awards...Ugh, the number of kids on this site is sickening.

Personally, I like the original list better. While I enjoyed God of War III, I felt it was more of the same and brought little new to the table aside from beefier graphics. More of the same. Assassin's Creed is the better choice IMO.

Alan Wake should have won something here. The story, again IMO, was superior to that of Heavy Rain's **SEMI-SPOILER**(The Twist at the end of HR was painfully predictable from early in the game).
If you understand code and hardware, Wake was also more technically impressive (Google how Heavy Rain was made) as it was less smoke and mirrors. Thats just my opinion. I would have preferred to play it on my PC, although even on a console it is a gorgeous game.
As usual, I felt Halo Reach should have been a winner in one category. Its easily the best shooter (Black Ops is an equal candidate, so no real complaints). But there is yet to be a shooter that has as much online longevity and overall polish as Reach. Artistically beautiful, and addictive (Like the whole franchise).

In my opinion, again, I feel the Mass Effect games are too short given their content potential. I want to see these games have as much depth as The Elder Scrolls. When games cost 60$ a shot, I expect the longevity and value few companies like Bethesda offer.

i am surprised reach didn't get a mention in the original music category, marty o'donnel did an an amazing job with the score there, even better than the usual high quality work he's done on previous halo games.
still from what i've heard of it, heavy rain does seem to be a worthy winner.

for artistic achievement i'd have gone for heavy rain, with limbo a very close second.

couldn't really argue with the other choices, because i either don't care :) or i haven't played the games in question.
