New Uncharted 3 gameplay video features Nolan North

Gamersmint: A new Uncharted 3 video which has emerged out of PAX East 2011 shows new gameplay footage from Uncharted aswell as showing Nolan North and Richard McGonagle, who lends their voices to Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan respectively, recording for the game.

I laughed hard at some parts of it. Nolan North is the perfect choice for voicing Drake in the game and the dialogues are already looking better than Uncharted 2. All the more excited.

The dude has one speed, himself. Dude, he ruined both games for me. I couldn't get into them because all I could hear is drake. I hate north as a vo actor.

I don't think that's his fault really, he can be a great voice actor. In Ratchet ACIT he wasn't even recognisable as himself.
I'd say most of those games are down to the directors trying to capture the Uncharted magic.

He's been in a ton of roles, and in many you can't even tell its him. Its all up to the directors / script.

You only say that because his voice is unique and easily recognizable in a few games.

You've probably played many other games that had him in there too, but didn't realize it because he does a great job.

He doesn't always play himself you know. In Rachet and Clank ACiT he did VO and wasn't recognised and in one of the interviews of Uncharted 2 he displayed an array of accents which weren't his.

I'm pretty sure you should blame it on the directors and producers of those games as they WANT him to sound like Drake, not him. If you were to ask him to say it in a different accent then he would do so with no difficulty.

And you'll be surprised to hear that he also voiced Richtofen in Call of Duty Black Ops.

Haha, that was just terrible directing.
They had him voice two guys at the same time. And when the two characters say goodbye to each other, the animations don't change. They don't move, they just stand there doing movements like they're still talking.

Yeah... Assassin's Creed came out the same year as Uncharted... he was in both... He was Hades in God of War...

the guy isn't new to the experience.. tons of work under his belt.

it's all how the director directs their actors.

People are expecting big leap, like UC2 was from UC1, but this will be more same with tweaks all around. I would be happy with that, finished UC2 today, and oh boy it was good from every aspect. I just wish Chloe will come back, C. Black is amazing, loved her in ME2 and DA:O too.

Biggest changes will propably be in mp, tryed first time UC2's mp today and it was pretty fun, will spent some more time with it later.

Yes, KZ3 have improved a lot from KZ2 in many more aspects, not just in graphics. But you know, KZ2 had a lot to improve in many aspects, and imo UC2 doesn't.

ND has already confirmed that they will make tweaks to visuals, animations, in melee, shooting, etc.. But what they really are focusing is mp, which is a good thing.

UC2 was nearly perfect in all aspects, good gameplay, controls, amazing visuals, good pacing, terrific voice-acting, story wasn't that special, but it was executed and presented superbly, and so on. What there is to improve much? I really hope they won't add more something (example scripted stuff) just to make it more "complete" than UC2, the pacing between action/slower moments were perfect in UC2.

I have a confession, I have only just played my first uncharted game :s. I've put my back out and my wife went to Asda or Walmart for my American friends and came back with Uncharted 2 for me to play, OMG it was soooo awesome I finished it in 10hr 43min over 2 days! However now I'm sad cause I've finished it lol so I'm sending the wife out on a mission to find the first one for me lol.
