I say screw all those hackers, they've been the ones to blame from the beginning. They seem kinda thick to think that people should support them, when they were responsible for everyone getting screwed in the 1st place, all they want is to steal and cheat, regardless of what platform they do it on.

People like Geohot are GOOD people. They invest lots of time to open up the hardware that WE PAID FOR, so we can use it as we like. Whether we use it for illegal purposes or legal ones is a personal choice that you can't blame on the hacker. It's like saying we should blame knife makers for all the brutal stabbings that have occurred merely because they made these sharp utensils available.

If Sony's really is using that three step fix (according to that hacker KaKa), wouldn't the HV and HV procs be kinda useless now considering they'll have to start from scratch with maybe a lil knowledge? No, it's the equivalent of telling the ignorant folks to stop harassing the knife manufacturers for making knives available that were used in a stabbing.

Some people use knives for bad things, others use them for good. You can't blame the makers of the knife for what's done with it. And the same goes for the hackers, you can't blame them for how other people use the hacks. It's completely unfair. All they wanted to do is give us our FREEDOM to use what WE PAID FOR as we like.

I was just speaking in general.While Sony's chasing hackers, Microsoft and Nintendo is selling hardware and software.

Sony completely "dominated" the last two gens(mostly because of the major 3rd party support), so why can't they catch a break now?

Casual gaming is a lot more massive than most people think.

Titanz: Last I checked, Wii sales are down, and Sony is poised to overtake the 360 this year. So it seems Sony are masters of multi-tasking. Besides, sales are irrelevant.

The hackers aren't the ones stealing the games. They only opened up the system so that people can use what they paid for however they would like. Other people chose to use those exploits to enable backups, and that's their choice. You can't blame the hackers like Geohot for that. Just like you can't blame the manufacturer of a knife when someone gets stabbed.

Actually we can and just did. A knife is a physical object, not a digital ip. There is a big difference, they're not equatable. The ignorance of people who can form sentences not understanding that stealing and enabling stealing is wrong is immense. This is like giving a criminal a stolen car(CFW) and then saying I didn't know what he was going to do(Piracy). Well you did know he was a criminal and stealing the car was wrong in the first place.
