the problem in the crysis multiplayer is the maps ... the maps are very smaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllll

Ducky4797d ago

Well, they fit the player-count.

DEADEND4797d ago

It's because it's 6 vs. 6.

Andreas-Sword4797d ago

6 vs. 6 is ok.
But there will be also 8 vs. 8 online modes ;)

Headquarters114797d ago

The game's controls are like Killzone 2. At least on 360 they are, IDK about PC. Crysis 2 multiplayer will fail. Hopefully the campaign is good.

bwazy4797d ago

PC controls are weird dude.... They just dont't feel right.

Izanagi-no-Okami4797d ago (Edited 4797d ago )

Idk how they will fail. Crysis 2 MP is one of the most action-paced MP that i've played in a long time.

The nano-suit abilities just make things even better. 6vs6 is the perfect number. And about the maps being small: I don't think they need to be bigger seeing that are only 12 people in them. Personally, i like small maps like Skylike, where the action is more intense.

And you have Weapon customization, Armor Customization, man i'm loving every second of it

"PC controls are weird dude.... They just dont't feel right"
Personally i didn't have any problems with the controls, but the learning curve can be a bit steep. But after you get used to it, you'll be facing no problems.

This is going to be a solid game, but I'm afraid that it won't live up to the hype that Crytek made it out to be. On top of that they pretty much abandoned their true followers the PC community, I guess their just trying to make their money on consoles. This has always been a day one for me but I have to say they have slapped a lot of people in the face mostly PC gamers, but also they just spoke too much and didn't have a lot to back it up. The game looks good but not as great as everyone was excepting.

Izanagi-no-Okami4797d ago

I feel that the game was made too "mainstream" just to make console gamers happy. Like now the game only has Stealth and Armor. The first game had Cloak, Armour, Strength and speed. Basically now speed and strenght are always on.

Troll-without-Bridge4797d ago

Scrotum dipping? amazing how far gamers have evolved.

DrHouse4797d ago

Yes, i found that..disturbing

no jk, LOL@ 1:20

MARKUS_MAX1MUS4797d ago (Edited 4797d ago )

Gauss rifle is 1 hit kill? hmmmm be interesting to see how it works in the full game.

The most interesting gun is that giant hair dryer, cant wait to dry all of you up.......

Crytek Gives Brief Update on New Crysis Game; Studio Has a "Great Team" Working on It

Crytek gives an update on their new Crysis game, confirming that it's still in development, with more to share down the road.

DefenderOfDoom2143d ago

Actually would love a new Crysis campaign.

P_Bomb143d ago

Ditto. Ran through them again last year. I’ll grab the new one.

Crazyglues143d ago (Edited 143d ago )

Yeah they really messed up by not adding the Multi-player to the Crysis Triogly because while the campaign was fun I really loved the Multi-player and couldn't wait to see what it was going to be like on current gen.

They could have dropped new maps and DLC and fans would have bought it up... -But they dropped the ball and did just the Campaign's with no new content or story, which was just crazy.

Anyway still hoping Crysis 4 is the whole Chicken Sandwhich with all the toppings.... Can't wait.

PrinceOfAnger143d ago (Edited 143d ago )

Yeah It will probably be 5 years development

SimpleSlave142d ago (Edited 142d ago )

That's awesome. So how long till the studio closes and everyone gets fired?

Crytek Sends Cease and Desist To A Popular Photo Mode Modder Frans Bouma

Immersed Gamer writes: "Frans Bouma just received a Cease and Desist letter from Crytek, developers of Crysis. Did he pirate their game? Or maybe he infringed on their copyright? What horrible thing did Bouma do to deserve this? Well, he modded in a photo mode so that people could take beautiful pictures and share them on social media."

Open source the code and dump it on the internet.

mastershredder832d ago

"from his Patreon page" Uhhhh yeah.......Oh gee and I wonder why that was problem? You know where this goes there Filip or perhaps you are just not quite yet.

Mazgamer832d ago (Edited 832d ago )

It's astounding how quickly someone uniformed will take a side of soulless company just because a modder might be making some pocket change.

For your information: He puts all of his camera mode mods on GitHub, completely free of charge. His Patreon is nothing more than a way to tip him some cash for his work.

He says so himself on his GitHub page:
I do this for fun, not profit, but can't create cameras for games I don't own. I've therefore setup a Patreon page which allows you to safely support my work".

Are you following "mastershredder", or are you not quite there yet?

Giblet_Head832d ago

I did some digging and from what I can see it's probably the "early access" releases of his mods only through Patreon that may have stirred Crytek to send the C&D. Apart from that his mods are indeed available free of charge through his GitHub page.

CobraKai832d ago

It’s a non-profit mod tho. It confuses me cuz modders can do things like completely overhaul the art assets of a game or add licensed cars, but adding a photo mode seems to get the cease.

Orchard832d ago

I guess they want to be the next T2/Rockstar...

Fishy Fingers832d ago

Rarely do you see something with so much potential (Crytek) shoot themselves in the foot so many times.

BlackIceJoe832d ago

Instead of sending a C&D Crytek should thank him, for this, because this will lead to more people buying and playing the game.
