I don't get Square anymore. I mean the concept sounded cool at first, but then they decided to let the game have 2006 graphics, poor gameplay, and they don't market the game at all.

At that point, why even release the game?

I agree. I was amped for the game last year so much that I started pre-ordering then they pushed it back. Which I thought due to working on the game which would have been understandable, But no they didn't really do much to it from what I have seen still looks the same from last year.

I personally dont really give a shit about review scores. I play and enjoy alot of games that get bad reviews and i play and hate alot of games that get great reviews. BUT how can you honestly say Killzone 3 is a 7 out of 10 game. Just by playing the BETA I can tell this game is gonna be great. I've already put 10 hours into one map! How does a game like KZ3 get scores of 7,7.5,8,8.5 and those same sites give COD games which are the same game EVERY YEAR 9's. Something isn't right here.

your right cod doesnt deserve 9's but a 7 is still clasified as good so i dont get all the flack reviewers have been given every time they give killzone3 one.

That makes it even worse. It's one of those "I didn't play the multiplayer, use 3D, use the Move, or use a HDTV with surround sound" type reviews. The reviewer came in expecting the next great Oscar worthy script and got the most polished FPS on consoles. He even says that. He was disappointed in the relationship between Sev and Rico. As said before. . . Some of these reviewers need to find new jobs. They're terrible at what they do for a living.

And dont blame GG if the game feels different from the 2nd because its what all these dumb "journalist" were crying for. Easier controls, quicker pace. Basically more like CoD.

And no, I still dont agree with the score. I'll trust my own opinion and instincts like I always do, and I barely miss.

If I'm going to let anyone weight in and influence my judgement at all, it will be all the people in my friends list playing the beta and loving it.

I don't care if you agree with the score since you haven't actually played the game.

In any case this reviewer liked Killzone 2 the way that it was, and DIDN'T want it to become like CoD so the idea that all journalists wanted that is a bit wrong. Trustung your own opinion on something you haven't played is quite bizarre since the opinon you trust has little to no real basis.

The author also complained about the AI being set up for falls and other "stunts" when being shot down, and the artificial set-piece feeling he felt too much of the campaign had.

That sounds like eerily like the feeling I had with Resistance 2 with all the "pick up weapon, approach firing area, shoot thing, move to firing area 2, kill thing, pick up new weapon and move forward to next overly deterministic scene" sort of gameplay.

Hopefully that's not how KZ3 feels.

God dammit, this is getting ridicoulos. Why do these "critics" all of a sudden care about story for god freaking sakes?!? This isnt Metal Gear Solid we are talking about here where it should be judged only on the story.

These butt hurt freaking critics are just so bitter that the PS3 proved them all wrong and ended up NOT failing like they all predicted in 2007-2008 and instead its now rocking with tons of high end exclusives.

So when it comes to PS3 reviews they are out for blood and will nitpick it to death. How can any site be taken seriously when they give Killzone 3 a 7 and black ops a 9?

GOD i wish we still had a open zone so i could just let it all out on what i really think about these critics.

Damn straight. Since when is story a FPS's strong point? I played the SP Demo and their voice acting and story didn't sound any worse then an other shoot I have played

ya i agree and i disagree. with blackops they obviously didnt care about story and they gave it a 9 but with killzone they do care. maybe they just expected a good story so they were let down?
to me story matters and i know it matters to some reviewers with KZ3. some reviewers probably only cared about the multiplayer and those are the guys giving it 9.5's or 10's. the guys giving it 7's or 8's are the people who probably care about the story as well. they might think 2.5/5 for singleplayer and 4.5/5 for multiplayer so they give it a 7/10.

Who cares about scores, I'm more worried about GG losing sales because of the leakage. I can't wait for KZ3, I played a few minutes of the demo and I was blown away, can't wait to get my hands on the full game.

I really appreciate the hard work of Visceral Games EA Redwood Shores on their DS2. They really deserved this perfect score & Attention...somehow I felt.....very few recognised their talent in their 1st Game Dead Space.

Also this is really a joke..A game caliber like KZ3 gettin a 7 and the cods getting higher.....dosn't justify the reason.

KZ3 is a great game and it dosn't deserve a 7... so far from the luks.....
The rest i will decide after playin.

I agree, Dead Space was overlooked when it was first released, not by everyone but it seriously lacked praise considering it was a band new IP, from a new development house and that it was a nearly flawless single player campaign.

As for the KZ3 score, I don't think there is a conspiracy or anything but reviewers definitely don't give all shooters a fair shake. Some games get free passes when it comes to stutters in gameplay and other games have it blown out of proportion. Also, reviewers get stuck on one style of gameplay and write off other games as being broken when they try something new. Prime example, the controls in KZ2. Yes they were a bit slow but that's how the developers intended the game to be. In KZ you don't feel like a camera with a floating gun, there is weight and momentum to your movements and I for one enjoy it that way. The reason so many people were up in arms is because they simply didn't take the time to adapt to a new control scheme.

Also, and this is pretty much fact. Bad Company 2 destroys the competition when it comes to online MP, but it never gets the recognition it deserves because most people (reviewers) don't want to learn anything new. Most of them scream for changes and new IP's but when a developer tries something new they cry foul and label it as trash.

That's exactly why I don't even bother with reviews. I make my own decisions.
