For starters, the name "HipHopGamer" doesn't really make proper sense. It sounds like the sort of name that a kid gives themselves because they don't know any better.

What does it actually mean? If you compare the name to, say, "hardcore gamer" then by that comparison HipHopGamer actually implies that the person is Hip Hop as much as he is a gamer. Now, you can be a gamer, but you can't BE Hip Hop.

You can like Hip Hop and you can BE INTO Hip Hop, but what's that got to do with gaming and coverage of gaming?

Is he saying that he's providing games coverage with a Hip Hop twist? If so, how and why? Is he saying that his coverage is aimed at people who like Hip Hop as well as games? If so, what does he do to accurately cover games in a way that appeals solely to a Hip Hop-loving audience?

I mean, if you claim to be "the hardcore gamer" or, to use a real-life example, "EuroGamer", then you have to actually be focused on that subject matter. EuroGamer can provide coverage primarily for Europeans and a "hardcore gamer" can provide coverage geared towards a hardcore crowd, but how do you provide coverage to a Hip Hop audience? I'm not saying it's impossible, but I think the real point here is that it's not what HipHopGamer does.

He just talks at a camera and airs his views on whatever nonsense he's thought about for half-an-hour that morning. There's no focus in place, as implied by the name. And, to be honest, that's because the focus is wrong - you shouldn't attempt to write to a gaming audience based on musical preference no more than you should write to music fans based on their gaming preference.

Anyway, the point I'm making is, is the name doesn't work and doesn't fit with the content and can't really ever do what it'd need to, to make sense. So for him to actually get proper TV people to commission a show, he and his entire branding would need focus and delivery.

PS - before anyone says it, I'm not a "Hater". My criticism is constructive and true. Do not dismiss facts as "hate".
