Why I'm Psyched For Persona 5

They've been working on it to some degree I'd imagine, but the full development obviously hasn't happened yet.

catherine is just a project made in order to do the transition on current gen consoles ... it's quite obvious their next project is a rpg ...

It is complicated to make a real "next gen" RPG to fight in graphics with Square-Enix, Bioware or Bethsoft.
Atlus does not have all that cash.

With that in mind I belive they might launch Persona 5 for a Playstation portable device such the PSP or PSP2.
I doubt it will come to the PS3.

i believe they can. the art style of persona is much dif to that of dragon, elder scrolls, final fantasy. besides, graphics arent important in that of rpgs. gameplay and story is where its at,and persona knows what its doing.

I've always had a soft spot for the Persona games. I'm especially fond of the depth of the characters in 3 and 4 compared to the shallow characters in other JRPGs. A lot of people write the recent games off as "Weeaboo Dating Sims" but that description really doesn't give the game any justice for all it delivers.

I honestly enjoyed P3 and P4 more than most other RPGs outside of Tales (probably due to the character interaction, which Persona has as well).

Probably the reason I had no qualms with picking up P3P. xd

smt:nocturne spoiled all persona games for me because nocturne did all rpg aspects better than persona games, imo. i don't know about some of you , but digital devil saga and nocturne games are leaps and bounds better than persona games. it is strange that it is taking so long for atlus to publish an smt game for the ps3.

Really? I mean I loved DDS as much as the next person (DDS2 has quite possibly the best story in any video game. Period.), but they were in no way better than Persona. Persona 3 in particular had an amazing story and atmosphere, and the polish on 4 was tremendous (the gameplay is simply unparalleled). Don't turn SMT into Final Fantasy.

All the games were good, except maybe the third Devil Summoner, which is still much better than most other games. Let's not turn this into old school versus new. Besides, Nocturne and DDS borrowed a lot of material from what made the original SMT games so good in the first place.

OH GOD, if it does get released... please let it be during summer or AFTER. I have wayyy too much games on pre-order, my wallet needs time to recuperate.
