My launch 360 still works but I don't play it much. Last game was gears 2. I do wanna play me2 and alan wake though. My 60 gb ps3 also is working really well but im playing that every other day or so.

On topic: Mine died back in August. I didn't care to pay $60 Live when the PS3 does the same thing for free. I don't miss it a bit.

I never got the red ring, I got the E74 once though which got refurbished for free, but that one was a replacement of another replacement, i've had 3 360's now and the one i have right now is a refurbished model...

We don't know yet since they typically take 12-18 months to fail. Though it's unlikely a redesigned console would have the same problems.

I'm pretty lucky man, my 360 hasn't died on me yet. I have an old model. I actually had the red ring for about 40 mins, kicked it a few times(I'm serious), and it came back on. Cheap piece of hardware, and sorry 360 fanboys, but there is hardly a such thing as ps3 fanboys. I'm full of shit you say xD? Rrod, the rings the system that used to put around disk that made games unplayable, on cnn an old model exploded and burnt down someones house, they charge you guys to play games online xbox when every other console this gen is free. They increase the price of xbox live for no reason xD lol. the system has the highest failure rate of all time, lol and on top of everything majority of you 360 fanboys are on your 2nd or 3rd xbox at least. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against you guys, its just, at the begining of this gen...you guys were dumb as hell for supporting the 360 xD.

lol well i didn't get my first rrod til i think around june 06. i couldn't find a 360 til like feb 06, so i bought an arcade then, and bought a hard drive that same night along with cod 2.

thing is though a couple months later i bought a pro, and it rrod before my first one, and then prolly like a week later it went too. it was a major inconvenience to me, as i had them both replaced because i had the gamestop warranty.

so the lesson that i learned is when a new console releases, or when buying a new one, it's worth the extra penny and piece of mind to buy a warranty. my ps3 still is til april 2011, and my 360 now is a jasper elite, with only the factory 3 yr. but no problems so far, and i not play it as much as i used too anyways.

im on my 2nd 360. First died about 4 years ago. This one has been running strong ever since. I still have my launch PS3. But tbh it doesnt have the hours logged like the 360 does. I had a 360 launch day...it broke 2 weeks later..I sent it in. It gave out 5 months later and gave up on microsoft chunking the piece of plastic in the trash can. I bought a ps3...played the crap out of it. Decided to give xbox another try. I bought a brand new one 2 years after release. Guess what...go figure...that one last right at 10 months. I will never own another one again.I still have the same ps3.
