In the past, hunting games like Cabela’s were a bit of niche title. It had its following but the more hardcore gamers did not take the games very serious. When I first laid eyes on Dangerous Hunts 2011 and the gun Top Shot Elite, something different happened. I actually got excited for a Cabela’s game. The graphics looked like they had been vastly improved from the last title I had played (during an achievement scoring contest, no less). It had a credible story written for it. What triggered the most excitement was the fact that it could come with a gun called the Top Shot Elite which looked like it would be fun to play with. I had seen some previous titles on the Wii that were packaged with guns but they looked a bit bland and boring. The Top Shot Elite was a far cry from those.
Backlog Quest is a month long special event on Clearance Bin Review featuring daily game reviews of the games that have sat on the shelf for simply too long; old and new.
From Day 1 – Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011, Tristan Rendo writes "I had seen them in stores quite a bit, and there is no shortage of them, so I had wondered for quite some time just what these Cabela’s games had to offer. I remembered the older arcade games where you would shoot at animals as they ran across your path, but couldn’t imagine that concept had been packaged onto a disc and sold at original MSRP for $60. Though the presence of a gun accessory made it seem possible."
Anyone who’s spent even a moderate amount of time in bars or movie theater lobbies should be well acquainted with Cabela’s line of hunting games, but lately something strange has been happening with the home versions of these games.
SFG writes: MAG? Killzone 3? Resistance 3? Nope, while I haven’t tried Resistance 3 yet, I haven’t read pleasant things about it. I tried MAG when it first was patched, and had a hard time keeping it level, and became motion sick. Killzone 3 is a close second, but the easiest to pick up and play is,

FAIL!
Whats the best flavor ice cream? Vanilla? Nope, I haven't tried vanilla yet...
I will save people the click and just come out and tell you what that game was. It was Cabela's Dangerous Hunting 2011.
Honestly, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I guess I would be crying if this guy was really that dumb to think Cabelas Hunting is better because, gameinformer had a video that tells a completely different story (hint: it sucks).
*rubs eyes* a good cabelas game!?
As strange as it may seem, this one turned the series around.
I grabbed this game to use with the Move because my kids enjoyed the Shoot and Time Crisis so much...I figured it would be similar to those titles but with animals.... I threw the game in to try it out in Story mode and was pleasantly surprised....have never played a hunting game before and this game's story mode sucked me in and I have really enjoyed it... the Move controls work very well with this title...would recommend it to anyone that likes shooters with a good story. Surprised me big time.
To believe it.
Is there a demo ?........wouldn't mind checking it out.
