Worst Demo EVAR!!!

First you download it, then you install it, then you wait for it to load, and just when you think you're about to race, you get an unskippable promo video that seems to go on for about half an hour. Then you finally get to racing and the steering is completely unwieldly and heavy, the graphics (at least from the night time play) haven't progressed much from NFS Carbon and it generally just plays like a PS2 game.

Then after that race, I try to open a day time race. Only to be told that I cant do that until someone else on my friends list has played it...

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

Will not be buying. Not at all. Hell If I pirated games, I wouldnt even do that.

Oh and if this looks better than GT5, as a few websites alluded to, I will eat my bloody PS3.

I actually enjoyed the demo, can't wait for the release.

is compared more to the forza series n4speed is not even near gt and no if your thinking gt5 is an arcade racer then you dont know what is the only competion need for speed is forza leave gt5 out of this

N4S Hot Pursuit is nothing like Forza. It's not a simulator, and it's not trying to be. What it is though is great fun in the vein of Burnout but with more weight to the cars. Day 1 for me.

I got to play both of the tracks since I have friends.

Looking Back to Two of Need for Speed's Best Games - Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit

Paul writes - "EA know a good thing when they see it, and for multiple years November was Need for Speed month. In a break from the usual routine, I'm going to be looking back at two games here, released in 2005 and 2010 respectively. The earlier game is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which has the distinction of being one of the very best in the franchise. The second game comes from 2010, and is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit; which I'll talk about just as the Remastered version of the game has hit the stores."

Hotpursuit 2 was good as well.

I completely adore this game! In fact its probably my favorite racing game. I recently dusted off my xbox 360 to play Most Wanted 2005. Still a great game, though I do not remember there being such horrible performance. Like massive frame-pacing issues. screen tearing, latency. If any game ever truly needed to be remastered, it this one for sure!

Uuuu, I loved this one. I want it.

No NFS released since Hot Pursuit (2010) has came close. The Ghost Games NFS games were just dreadful (to me they were anyway, 2015 was okay I suppose). Would love to replay this and I hope it has an update for next-gen as well.

I loved Most Wanted as well (on PS3, I think it released in 2012). After that, it has gone downhill, but the latest games are slowly coming back up. I loved NFS Heat, but it needs to get better before it comes back to same level as NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted.

Then again, NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted were likely better because they were from Criterion (in fact, those were the last 2 games from criterion in nfs series).

@DarkZane
complete agree. Most Wanted was good fun as well.

boing11303d ago

Yeah, Criterion has made two best NFS games in my opinion.

georeo1303d ago

Oh yes! They cops vs the drivers online was a blast.

LucasRuinedChildhood1303d ago

Better be 60FPS unlike the original console ports.

Sgt_Slaughter1303d ago

I would be excited but NFS is basically dead in the water at this point, a shell of its former self.
