Epic Games’ Cliff Bleszinski – the self-proclaimed ‘Tony Stark of videogames’ – was answering fan’s questions on Twitter last night. Some of the answers were food for thought, and not because he revealed that his favourite ice cream is “praline and dick”.

Why put them on and island? With that logic, you could just leave them alone and they would still die out. Kids raised by Gay couples don't turn gay because. People turn gay for many different reasons in their life that have nothing to do with their parents.

This IS NOT found in the animal kingdom. Animals are not attracted to the same gender of species. They will reproduce with the opposite gender No MATTER WHAT.

Human Homosexuality is completely different.

Very well said, the characters sexuality is irrelevant. Unless they go out of their way to make the character a sexist ass pinching jackass or a flamboyant queen then we should never even know the sexuality. I think the pro-gay agenda is getting a bit extreme.

Keep it to yourself gays, I keep my sexuality to myself, if you want to be respected and equal then don't bring sexuality into every aspect of your life.

I've only seen one homophobic comment here. Someone mentioned it was OK as long as they could shoot them in the face with a shotgun. That's homophobic and dangerous.

However, this is a complex issue that game developers cannot solve and can only make worse. If you're going to deal with the issue, deal with hit. It is a significant thing "making" a character gay. You are then asking heterosexual males, to play and alter ego of a man who is sexually playing a male that desires to have sex with other men. You are not going to be able to force that on straight males.

No one should be discriminated agains(t) (or) have acts of violence committed against them (because of their) race, creed, color, religion, sexual orientation. That's fair to ask for for any person. To try and force your sexuality on others especially when it is not the norm, is not reasonable and you just can't force that. As long as males and females are the only way for humans to procreate naturally, you will never be able to force straight people to accept it as the norm.

The(y) should be tolerant and accept others. Why is more than that required?

Well, there's a romantic aspect in many games-- save the princess is the most basic of them. Why are almost all the characters straight in their romances? Obviously, if we're dealing with a story that has no plot, then we don't need to know the sexuality of the "character," but unlike a "heterosexual that likes to do it doggystyle," the sexuality of a character could be important to the character.

Then developers will have a choice to make if they make sexuality central to the plot of the game. I've decied I can play the new DMC character, he's quite feminine but the trailer looks like a fun game. Obviously, if he was sexually involved with other men in the game, ala God of War, I would not play it.

Unlike race, size, etc. Sexuality is internal and asks a person to go against their very nature. Not gonna happend. Hopefully for developers who choose to push this envelope, there are millions of gamers who want to play a homosexual male alter ego.

I'm a girl, so I'm constantly playing as people who don't represent me at all-- sexuality, race, gender... it doesn't matter because it's almost never me I'm playing in a game. I say, why not? Tony in the Ballad of Gay Tony was a cool character. He, the theme, and title didn't make the game any less enjoyable. In fact, it's the best of the GTA4 pieces.

You do realize that some games rely stories with characters, don't you? And that some of those character driven stories rely on romantic relationships? So why not allow developers to make some of those relationships gay relationships if they choose to do so?

I agree though that they shouldn't go out of their way to show that a character is gay, but they also shouldn't go out of their way to show that a character loves banging hot women. If you're against developers going out of their way to show a character is gay, but not against developers going out of their way to show that a character is straight, then you're a homophobe.

Just let devs make the game they want to make with the characters they wish to implement.
