Borderlands is awesome. It's a solid 9. And it won a couple subcatagory GotY awards. Should of just called it Pandora Collectors Edition or something

Only because it is SO NEW. I've never or rarely experienced a game like this, it is rare to come by in gaming a game with such great art style and design as Borderlands. Borderlands is the pure definition of gaming, fun!

I thought Borderlands was terrible... but i did play too much of it and hit the time when i got tired of seeing the same thing over and over and over again. Also, i could one shot most enemies with my over-powered guns.

I wish there were enemies that could kill me but sadly they were all cannon fodder.

It's fun game with friends... terrible if you play it alone. Also, dont abuse the place in which there are 7 gun cases per reload of the game. You'll acquire powerful weapons and armor dependent on your level and become over powered.

I bought it with discount in the Netherlands for only €10.

This game is only fun with co op friends. I tried to play it alone but its so boring. Everything looks the same. Boring planet. This game I give it a 7.

If you wanna buy it then I suggest you to go rent it first. Before hasty buy and regret. GOTY my @sss.

I already bought the game when it first came out, but none of the dlc due to the fact that I stopped playing. I'm tempted to rebuy this game for the dlc and the duke nukem demo,then again it's a waste of money when you think about it.

Ok, so who exactly is the boss of what is game of the year or not? IGN? Gamespot? Gametrailers? GameInformer? The Spike VGAs?

I'm sure it was game of the year for some people, I wouldent call it game of the year in my opinion, but I will absolutely say that it is one of my favorite co-op games this entire gen.

I hated Mario Galaxy 2 but i'm sure it will be someones game of the year.

i didnt purchase any of the dlc cause i knew this would happen,although it would prob be cheaper to buy the dlc,id rather have it all on a disc for the future,game is great

The DLC is not in the disc lol !!!You have to download it using a code that is given on GOTY edition!BS!

The review has not been updated, lazy as IGN is they just added that little bit on the first page with the exact same review and scores from the original release, they just provided links to the various add-ons reviews. Biggest gaming site and yet they can't take the time to do a new GOTY review...Didn't even see a UC2 GOTY review either...

My 2c on Borderlands...
Good FPS gameplay, solid graphics and sound, GREAT writing and comedy element, nonexistent to mediocre story, lots of loot and nice RPG leveling, great co-op, lots of replay value with different classes, 2nd playthrough and also the upcoming rescaling patch, plus just loot hunting in endgame.

With $40 of DLC packaged in on top of a quality $60 release product I don't see a downside for buying in now if you haven't played the game already.

This is the same score as the normal game, with the DLC this edition deserves at least 9.2, come on IGn give credit where it is deserved.
