greta list, not in my order, no SOTC?

but MGS still to this day is just amazing, what a story

FiftyFourPointTwo4942d ago

I know dozens of disagrees are gonna rain on me, but remove FFVII and put SotC in that list. *runs away*

Troll_Police4942d ago

*runs to catch FiftyFourPontTwo to tell him I agree but he's too fast*

Perjoss4942d ago

don't know why MGS is on that list, there was an amazing version of MGS on the gamecube so its not really a playstation exclusive.

3nd3rth34942d ago

Was on PC, so not really an exclusive. Same for MGS. SotC is awesomeness!

e-p-ayeaH4942d ago

i rather remove ICO to put SotC

frjoethesecond4942d ago

I dont know why people are getting disagrees. FF7 and MGS were both released on PC. The PC version of ff7 sucked and MGS will only run on an old machine but there still not exclusives in the literal sense of the word.

There's a patch to get MGS running on current hardware. I got it running on Windows 7 without the startup error or crash. Another problem is if your graphics card is too new then you can't run fullscreen right away or the game will crash. I had this issue but asked around in forums and you gotta run it in windowed mode first, turn hardware rendering off I think it was, then restart in fullscreen. That's how I got mine to work

nskrishna24941d ago

i agree with 54.2

SotC should be on that list

BattleAxe4941d ago

Its funny how almost every major list by a major website that talks about "Greatest Exclusives" for Playstation always leaves out SOCOM 2. The fact that they leave this game out shows me they haven't been around all that long or they just don't have a clue of what they are talking about.

pimpmaster4941d ago

MGS is not ps exlusive! it was on the pc. this list fails. im using the same logic ps3 fanboys use for 360 games.

ReservoirDog3164941d ago

MGS3 is the best in the series anyways. So yeah. That's #1. (see bio)

EYEamNUMBER14942d ago

does MGS actually count?
i mean technically speaking it was also on gamecube

KillerPwned4942d ago

The remake can never come close as to what the first one was.

ZombieAssassin4942d ago

Well i wouldn't count it, not because it was on gamecube that was a remake and not really the same game but because it was on PC.

frjoethesecond4942d ago

Why the disagree for rising dragon? He stated a fact.

PopEmUp4941d ago (Edited 4941d ago )

fact is not allow here on N4G but only fanboy opinion is allow :)

was onimusha 2. Im pretty sure it was exclusive and i remember the graphics being stunning. Especially the water in my opinion its still the best ive seen. Other than that metal gear solid 2 and granturismo 3 are my other faves and tekken 1 and crash team racing on the ps1.

avengers19784942d ago

I'd have Ratchet and Clank, and Infamous to the list.

goodfellas274941d ago

Both Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy 7 came out on PC right after their PSone debut. I'm not sure if they should be on the list.

"there was an amazing version of MGS on the gamecube"

It WAS amazing, until... Snake jumped on a missile to fire his stinger.

That was simply... Lame..

-End statement

SkylineR4941d ago

Yeah where's Shadow of the Colossus? That's 1 of the best games ever made!

I'm sad to say that I never played ICO on the PS2, but I will be buying the ICO/SOTC collection for the PS3 though. I've heard nothing but praise for ICO and I won't miss out on it again.

KillerPwned4942d ago

Yeah i never got to play it either i think i seen a friend of mine play it before years ago. But just never got the chance with the game i will get the collection also right away.

deeznuts4942d ago

I skipped PS1 and PS2 consoles (didn't play games) but on PS3 tried to play SotC. The quality was so bad on my HDTV I just skipped it. Now that it's being remastered I will give both a try.

dan881234941d ago

people are going to disagree with you because you said the quality was bad, but I did the same thing. Even though it's a stunning game, with all the innovation in the gaming industry graphics wise, its hard to go back to such a dated game but with the it being remastered im deff getting it too

Capt-FuzzyPants4942d ago

FF7, KH, FF9, Uncharted 1 and 2, R&C, FF10 are the ones i played and liked.

Capt-FuzzyPants4942d ago

O and inFAMOUS it wouldnt let me edit

cmrbe4942d ago

It's really hard for me to pick the best.GT4 over GT3?. U2 i think its too early to be on a all time greatest PS exclusive list. The same as LBP.

lexington4942d ago

pong, checkers, chess, minesweeper, hangman, pole position, and asteroids. These could ONLY be done on PS3 with da powa of da cell!!

MRMagoo1234941d ago

what are you even talking about go away

I’d have taken a few of those out. Prefer Sonic over Sonic 2. Outrun should be in there. Maybe even Pong as millions of people had fun with that even if it was repetitive. Final Fight pipped any Streets of Rage game, although Streets of Rage had the better soundtrack. Too many to list l guess. To me, retro gaming is the 1980s, maybe going into early 1990s.

Popsicle31d ago

Agree that the generational gap is too broad to really make a strong list. Need to tighten the years a bit. Hard to compare Pac Man with N64 games.
