Silent Hill 8 will be more in harmony with earlier games in the franchise, a new interview between Zive and Vatra Games boss Matthew Seymour has revealed. Rather than an action-oriented title like Silent Hill: Homecoming, the team is focusing more of a psychological horror title, with their main inspiration being Silent Hill 2.

I mostly disagree with Downpour's position. Yeah, the game is not amazing by any stretch of the imagination but is much better than the HD Collection and Homecoming. The main issue is the performance, but that was mitigated by the patches, especially on the PS3. Personally, I put it a little behind Origins and The Room.
Having Restless Dreams as a different entry from Silent Hill 2 is also a choice.
Normally, we would not consider it a different game (Restless Dreams), but since it had a very different critical reception and had new content, it was allowed. As for Downpour, I would agree, but since that one is subjective, we let him make his case for the placement.
silent hill 2 is definitely the best one out of those.
for me personally, the whole ritual/cult stuff was always so weird to me in all the other games.
No disrespect but I put SH2 over 1. 1 is fantastic, but 2 took it all up a level.
The Ghetto Gamer has been predicting and tracking PS3 prices over the past year. The last few months have seen a massive spike in the pricing of PS3 games, and it may be too late to pick up some of the more rare and hard-to-find ones at a reasonable price. Some of these are nuts.

Stil remember selling ps3 titles to buy a PS4. but i keept the ones i liked more. Did the same with the titles of the PS4 to get a PS5.
About freaking time horror genre is actually horror. Haven't played a spooky game in years, last one was Siren: Blood Curse

Im still waiting for a Dino Crisis game. The first one scared the bejesus outta me, an I played it last year!
turns out to be what Alan Wake should've been, that means, if this game will allow you to roam the town pretty much how SH1 and SH2 allowed you to, then this is a looker. Anyway, I'm a fan, so no matter what this will be a day one buy for me.
I just want to be scared again; is that too much to ask?
Haven't bothered with the silent hill series in years, but this ones looking rather good. Let's just hope they don't **** it up!
