Looking awesome, really looks alot more expansive than the other game. If what we see is anything to go by it surely will be a better game which is going to appeal to the core fans more with more open-world rpg elements. Looking forward to seeing more.

I'm not too bothered if it goes multiplat, as long as the game is made specifically for the PS3 at first, because FF13 was not as impressive as it should have been. I remember being wowed by FFX on PS2 when it released, and the same with FF8 on PS1, but FF13 was clearly gimped because the graphics were sub-par.

I just do not want this game made with both platforms in mind. Make it for the PS3, and then worry about porting it later. I hope to God that Nomura has his way on this game, it already looks better than FF13 (expected as much).

Right off the bat, these environments look ten times more like a true FF than FF13 was. I was skeptical and lost all hope in Square, but this restored just a little bit more faith. I'm really starting to believe it now that the 360 really gimped FF13. I at first thought it was just some piss poor design decisions, but now its more and more obvious that they wanted to structure the game a certain way in order to be on 360.

I've never really been into FF games but people kept going on about 7 and i thought i may give it a try since word of mouth can do you some good it was only through word of mouth i played mass effect 1, and uncharted 2 as at the time i did't think i would be into rpg's or tomb raider type games as i did't like previous in the genre,but this has just said to me go and buy 7 and buy me on release its incredible day one if the game play can match this huge scale open world graphics etc

The moment Nomura dropped the project the game was already compromised. This IS what happens when he does the project. Considering FFXIII was supposed to use a similar battle system but done with "old-school" menus.

I'm not a big fan of turn-based JRPG, but this might interest me if the above is true.

I like the locations as well. Wonder if there will be vehicles to go with that gas station?

Can't really talk towards the graphical quality... definitely need to see a non-off screen video to make that determination. But, games with just a single character to control at a time tend to require less resources in general and are capable of better graphics.

The creator or developer for Kingdom Hearts did make this game. One of the reasons why this game will be much better than FF XIII. Versus is showing a more dark side to Cacoon City. There's also a love story to this. Can't wait till Holidays of 2011.

It is actually quite simple, just praise anything PS3 related while bashing anything else on this site would get you quite a bit of bubbles when there is something good about PS3. Just apply the same logic in reverse when there are good news for x360 (although much less). And also don't mention anything about the Wii. It been like that for years now.

That is the quickest way to get bubbles. What it is really for, i actually don't know and don't give shit. I think it allows the fanboy to dominate over open minded GAMERS by giving them more chances to comment their usual BS that they could drown out any reasons and logics.

The animations, I hate how the characters run in Final Fantasy XIII. So stiff, this one is more fluid. Looks awesome, cannot wait!

Say what you want about FFXIII but SE set up an awesome over arching mythology of Fal'Cie and L'Cie in the story, I totally got caught up in it and loved it.. Thank god for that codex though.

Yeah this is still in the same universe. This shows a different side to Cocoon City. The main Character, Noctis, falls in love with a girl, Stella, who I think is from the royal family or the enemy of Noctis. The cut scenes show Noctis thinking back about him and Stella, and he apparently regrets what he did(There's a cutscene where they both meet up on the streets and seems like they summon something to battle each other). He travels with his friends to go to the forgotten Kingdom. Noctis has a gift of light and possess a powerful sword. Not sure if these are accurate but saw some translation of the cut scenes. This game is going to be epic in story/gameplay/presentation/ and overall awesome.

Just looked at the video and it does look incredible huge leap from the regular FF13. Would be nice if it did come to the 360 as multi plat would generate more sales. Also didn't SE say they wouldn't be doing exclusives anymore a while back? Or that could have been Capcom. But either way consoles do need exclusives to seperate them and to show capabilities of each machine. The advantage Sony has is blu-ray so all in all it was a good investment for Sony to have gone that route.

Hopefully they learned their mistakes from FF XIII, and keep this a exclusive. As of now it's an exclusive, but making it multi-plat would just delay this game and the 360 version would most likely be inferior due to not having 40+ GB worth of available data space. How did M$ do FF XIII anyways, that game is about 40 GB and Dual Layer DVD's are only 9 GB, was there like 2 discs for that game?

The fight with the monster is footage of the combat with the combat menu screen interface removed. It's footage of the screens that came out with the game's announcement back in the day.

The gameplay isn't KH like. Music is sweet though and if its gameplay is similar to X, then it's day one for me.

I think I know why SE didn't want us to see this trailer. They plan on down grading it like they did 13. They didn't want anyone to see what a drastic change it would go through if it was downgraded to fit on the 360. I miss Square Soft...

than KH, that's my main fear. KH is so lame, and even though this is NOT a main FF game in the lineage; i hope it fills the gap that us PS3 gamers need for a decent HD JRPG.

FFXIII was okay for a straight dungeon crawler, but I need a really good HD traditional JRPG and that does not seem to be the case still.

But i can live with a mix of KH and FF, as long as its not lame like KH
