You know that show What Not to Wear? Yeah, they'd probably tell you to throw away your gaming t-shirts and invest in a button-down and some slacks, and while that may be good for your next job interview it does nothing for your gamer credibility. No, we're not offering you a shopping spree, what we've got is much, much better…

A new gamer wardrobe. Well, practically.

This is the Grand Prize of PAX, a robust collection of swag gathered at PAX Prime 2010, which means it's a helluva lot of gaming t-shirts.

What do we want from you? A picture of you (yes, you!) in your worst, nastiest, oldest, grubbiest gaming shirt to prove that you most need this new wardrobe. Entrants deemed worthy by staff (read: you posted a pic of yourself in a worn out gaming shirt) will then be entered in a random drawing for the Grand Prize of Swag. First runner-up will receive a largely comparable haul, with some differences, and there's even prize bundles to be had for 3rd, 4th and 5th.

(Note: Most shirts are size L, with the occasional variation).

There's a story, of course. I'm wearing a Tubrine shirt from at least 9 years ago. My hubby (then boyfriend) won the shirt (along with a copy of Asheron's Call signed by the entire dev team) in a contest on NeenerNeener.net (an MMO blog before there were blogs existed).

We got the shirt before Asheron's Call 2 was even announced, but the art work on the back is some sort of mechanical Golem from AC2. I remember how giddy I was when I discovered the Golem in AC2 and realized it was the same thing that was on our shirt.

I've always been a huge Turbine fan (pun not intended), so when this shirt started developing holes I was really sad. I'm still trying to think of some alternate use for it.

My PS3 got the Yellow Light at the most unfortunate time over a month ago. Over 400 gigs of data lost. All my saves, hundred plus hours in Borderlands, 100 % unlocked in Little Big Planet, all my amazing themes from the four corners of the internet, every thing I spent all my time on is gone. I signed up for PS plus and haven't even been able to get anything after the first week. I feel like I'm left with nothing but my old Atari and my t-shirt to show it's loyal love for all these years. My PS3 is in it's coffin to be sent back to Sony tomorrow after 2 months of saving up for a new one.

I will say that all this gaming swag would certainly make this horrible wait worth it. I hardly ever enter contests because I"m too busy playing my games, but now that I can't do that, I will gladly enter this one with hope that something as exciting as slaying monsters in God of War 3 will come in the form of winning this thing.

That's an old Fear and Loathing T-shirt my dad had as a teenager, I borrowed it for a Halloween party and have ever since used it for gaming! It's covered in holes, food stains and even a few burn marks, both from myself and my dad :D

At an electronics convention in Norway in 2006 I got an awesome gaming shirt. It was from PEGI, the age raiting company. On the front was the warning label for violence in games with the text "VIOLENCE" written under. I loved it!

But now the label is starting to fall apart and I can't use it anymore because when I wash it, the label will fall off: http://twitpic.com/2p20vq
