What world are you living in? There are a number of incredible multiplatform games, but none of those beat exclusives. You get the times to fine-tune a game for a specific platform with exclusives. Do you have any idea how much praise Uncharted 2 got? And MGS4? Now, they're making a hack-and-slash out of a wonderful franchise due to it becoming multiplatform.

Also, saying that Half-Life 2 is the best FPS ever is not a fact. I have no doubt it probably is, as I'm playing through it right now, but it was incredible for its time. Its time has now gone.

Was I the only who thought that the Assassins Creed II PS3 version had really poor graphics? Loads of screen tearing, terrible textures and average facial animations.

and actually the PS3 has better lightning and doesnt have that much screentearing compared to the 360 version. Also 360 version is way to dark, thats why the textures seemed more detailed but comparing them side by side, are the same.

Thats why I always try to play the games myself, I dont trust what others said. Ive been surprised more than one time by how great a multiplatform game looked on one console compared to the other when the reviewers said they are identical. Im also been surprised to find how good some PS3 "bad" ports looks when you compare both games side by side. Yeah the same games reviewers give more time and are the stars of the monthly comparisons. So I have my opinions but I play the game first then talk. Try to do the same people...you would be amazed by the findings.

Side by side comparisons done by sites are usually tweaked to their favor their personal bias. I have yet to see any game look on my displays the way they do in comparison articles.

you said PS3 version of AC2 as if you have played the 360 version 2. Second, compare AC2 to Uncharted 2 is unfair so I hope you are not comparing both. Uncharted 2 is the best graphical showcase on any CONSOLE and the only game that comes close is GOD OF WAR 3 and KILLZONE 2.

There are some amazing looking multiplatform games like AC2 and Red DEad ( specially the 360 version). So im not saying that it looks bad but when you compare multiplatform games with PS3 exclusives you are always going to find flaws. THe most notable to me is animation and lightning.

So Assasins Creed 2 may not belong to the list even if its art style IS better than most multiplatform games but you didnt explain it first and we asume you were talking comparing it to the XBOX 360 version. The funny thing is that you are rigth AC2 on the xbox 360 is one of the best looking games on the console, on the PS3... there are better looking games!!

COD 4, RDR, The Orange Box, and Oblivion shouldn't be there IMO, at least as Superb graphics. (Specially when they are a technical mess on the PS3).. They are great games though!

I would put, LBP, Valkirya Chronicles (although is art style), Heavenly Sword, Dead Space.. I mean there are many more with better graphics than those I mentioned above.

EDIT: Yeah, having a top 10 list about graphics and not inculde GOW 3 is lame!
Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm too, has great art style and animations.

I agree with you that Dead Space belongs there more than those other games. Dead Space on the PS3 was actually quite good. I have played and beat both the 360 version and the PS3 version of Dead Space and they are pretty close. I wish more developers would do whatever it takes to get the PS3 versions up to where they should be.

god of war 3 was great, but some areas really seemed they could do with some extra love, some of the character models were plastic and nasty, and some of the backgrounds were a bit bland, but otherwise it was awesome.

The Poseidon fight on a 50 inch looks almost 3D. Uncharted 2 may demand more from the system, but in terms of what I'm seeing, God of War 3 edges out Uncharted 2.

God of War 3 has scale, MLAA, and possibly lighting in it's favor. outside of Kratos, Hades, Hercules, Hermes, and some enemies, character models aren't too hot. Hera, Aphrodite, Zeus' beard, and some of the other gods just don't look as detailed as the four guys above.

even though the visuals are rather stunning, they are also seemingly inconsistent. for example, the Poseidon and Cronos fight look like film. other areas of the game (the Guitar Hero room, the Caverns, Daedelus' chambers, etc) don't look nearly as good, although they certainly shame 99% of other games out there.

Uncharted 2 has a more uniform look, with the Museum section being the only "weak" part visually (it's dark, so lighting and detail are relatively low). from character models to environmental details, Uncharted 2 has a consistent look throughout, helping keep the player 100% invested in the experience.

God of War 3 is one of my favorite games of all time, but i think Uncharted 2 edges it out in consistency, and having character models that look good next to each other. Kratos standing next to Hera was laughable. her model is horribly weak (the character and performance was GREAT, though).

Nathan Drake standing next to Chloe, Elena, Sully, and even Lazeravic lines up.

in either case, it's like arguing about which kid you love the most. they're both wonderful, and imperfect, but what you do without them?

Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 are the two most graphically impressive video games i've seen all generation. you can add Metal Gear Solid 4 to that list, also, but it's been upstaged by UC2 and GoW3 in all areas except maybe cinematography and camera design (what Kojima's team did with camera placement/interactivity is second to none. Uncharted 2 comes close, though, as does GoW3).

but those are just my thoughts. they are masterpieces of games, and true testaments to what the media of gaming can do when a dedicated, talented developer goes all out. those games make me proud to be a gamer and i love to fire them up when company is over on the big screen, and watch their jaws drop as they wrestle with the thought that what they are seeing on screen is a video game.

It's how well the game was designed and executed, and there are many example of poor executions on both consoles. With the exception of FF13, Uncharted and Killzone are focused games, LBP is not linear at all, and MGS4 has open maps where the player can take multiple paths. In terms of depth, you don't even know what the word means. Uncharted 2 and Killzone has more features than 90% of games and are far from short with multiplayer options. LBP is the face of unlimited replayability for F**k sake. Since you have never played any of these games you and other haters are constantly spouting bullshit about games that you have never given a chance.
