Oh course it's not going to happen! That would be like Uncharted 3 coing to the Xbox 360...

Cloudberry4999d ago

.
In the interview, Remedy said it's still a Microsoft Game Studios exclusive.

It's still either on 360 and / or PC.

And of course, Remedy didn't say anything about the PS3 version.

You are the kind of person who simply can't enjoy a good book, right?

hennessey864998d ago

alan wake far from sucked it was awsome i doubt you have actually played the game

OpenGL4998d ago

You guys are so childish. Alan Wake was a great game despite it not releasing on your precious PS3. Why are you so defensive anyway? Alan Wake being a great game in no way takes away from awesome titles on the PS3 like Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, or God of War 3. I mean, I understand if you like the PS3 more but damn, you guys get so serious about the stupidest things.

I'm primarily a PC gamer so I don't really understand the console war mentality. Sure I like my PS3 more than my 360, but I still enjoy the 360 for what it is. Maybe if you kids had the money to afford more than one system, you wouldn't be so desperate to name yours the winner of some stupid console war.

Also Remedy, bring Alan Wake 2 to the PC please!

hoops4998d ago (Edited 4998d ago )

Wow. You stating a Xbox360 game is not good. How shocking!!!!!
The biggest troll on N4G.COM...and thats saying a lot when you have clowns like Real Killer, greem ring of life and others around...

"Alan Wake wasn't a good narrative, or a stand out game. Repetitive nonsense.
Which is what the general consensus of this title is, which is why it scored so lowly**."

Is that not opinion? And i never knew scoring 83% over all was so "loly" I assume then MAG, SOCOM, WKC scored crap then?

And there you have GWAVE giving him a reach around. Another troll.
So what he said was 100% correct? That 83% score for a game is "low"
Sure dude. Keep on trolling

You all know if this game were on the PS3 only they would be siging another tune....

poopface14998d ago (Edited 4998d ago )

This BIGGEST Ps3 trolls didnt like alan wake. HAHAHA. Wonder why? Probably because they never played it, and would never buy a 360 or its games.

I find it hard to beleive that someone who has beaten AW, spends all day on N4g hating on the 360.

It was a great game, and I cant wait for the next DLC.

cervantes994998d ago

I could not agree more :)

Bubbles to you

GWAVE4998d ago

Sad thing is....

...people will dismiss what Greywulf said even though everything he mentioned is 100% factual (review scores, sales, fanboy hype, etc.)

Here's a bub, Grey. Not that it'll make much of a difference.

Poseidon4998d ago (Edited 4998d ago )

YOU OWNED EVERY SINGLE 360 OWNER IN HERE. BUBBLES.

aceofspades4998d ago

BUBBLES MAN. damn dude you hit the nail on the head friend.

Poseidon4998d ago

HOOP, I READ YOUR COMMENTS, YOU LIAR, YOUR A FANBOY, ITS SO PATHETIC.

Inside_out4998d ago (Edited 4998d ago )

Really...are you serious? You want to talk about SALES when your the PS3 is at the bottom of every category. Did you say mature titles?...LMFAO...like GOW...HR ( the sims ) is not even a game. It should be on a DS...lol...UC2 is a mature title? How about LBP, Modnation racers...hardcore huh...what does Sony have this year? You haven't even played Alan Wake and know nothing about it.

The fact that UC2 has collected media awards means nothing when a multi-plat out sold it by millions on its own system, 17 million overall...LMFAO. That is a REAL number for you and your silly PS3 friends. Watch what happens this holiday. As usual, you and Sony will be crying your selves to sleep...But, but we have LBP and a car sim...oh and this little mature number...the power ot the PS3.

Here's a vid of some PS3 products, I like the PS3 guy outside the Best Buy..." pixels and what not " indeed. Sounds like a PS3 guy making an argument against a 360 game...Hmmmm

ico924998d ago (Edited 4998d ago )

you seem to have misunderstood Greywulf's comment, he was basicly saying that Alan Wake was OVERHYPED!! how can you say it wasn't , but you were so a$$ hurt by his comment you had to go on some random f*ckin rant about GT5 and U2 and post some random f*ckin video links that have nothing to do with what your saying, or the comment you were replying to.
And speaking of Uncharted 2, its critical aclaim does matter because the gaming media recognised it as the overall better game, so MW2 outselling it doesn't mean sh1t and correct me if im wrong but wasnt Forza 3 the 360's saving grace in 2009 ? yet MW2 destroyed that in sales,
next time try not to get so worked up over a comment.

nycredude4998d ago

Maybe if you 360 crowd spend less time on N4g trolling and went and bought the game you might even get Alan Wake 2 on 360!

Seriously how much did it sell? After months of hype on how it looks better than Uncharted 2, and how it has a better story than Heavy Rain.

Seriously, I hope they bring this to PC cause then they might make some money. I know I would buy it.

Prototype4998d ago

What did greywolf say, I need a good laugh :D

By the way I actually tried Alan Wake, and personally (again I say Personally) it had potential however it's not something I'd play twice.

RememberThe3574998d ago

I actually just finished Alan Wake today. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Now, that's not to say it's not a good game, it just didn't feel as polished as I expected it to be.

However, the game has a ton of potential and I would expect a sequel to be vastly superior. Much like the progression between Uncharted and Uncharted 2. Alan Wake has a great story but there are some frustrating design depositions they made.

Bottom line is that Remedy has a solid foundation to build off of with the next game. It just needs more polish.

knight6264998d ago

haha of course they wont be an alan awake 2 because the first one didnt sell so good they wont bother makin part 2

God_Of_Epicness4998d ago (Edited 4998d ago )

I'm sorry guys but I really liked Alan Wake. It may not have been on par with U2's graphics as claimed to be (LOL), nor was it as thrilling as Heavy Rain but it was ultimately a good game regardless of it being on the 360. And for you people who said it only lasts 8 hours on first playthrough, YOU'RE WRONG! My first playthrough took me 12 hours! Eat THAT.

I don't think it'll be coming to the PS3 though cos I think M$ hates Sony (No shit sherlock) and because they (Remedy) are only willing to publish the game through Microsoft Game Studios, I don't think Sony's beloved console will ever taste Alan Wake. But there's still Heavy Rain so there's nothing to be upset about.

avengers19784998d ago

Since Alan Wake didn't sell very well at all, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that most of the people have not played the game, and IMO the game isn't really something we need to have on PS3

sikbeta4998d ago

The thing is, Who the hell said AW was going to come to the PS3 in first place!? I mean, no one said that, how is this news when you know they even killed the PC version....

Shepherd 2144997d ago

is an idiot. No one cares what kind of "facts" he or anyone else posts. I beat Alan Wake. Its a great game. Something to be proud of once youre finished. There. Thats all i need.

not Microsoft. Also, Remedy is an independent company (not owned by Microsoft) so it isn't like the Uncharted franchise. Naughty Dog is owned by Sony, so it isn't the same. Read the story before you comment please.

DeeZee4999d ago

I did read it and I know they aren't owned by Microsoft, but there's no way Microsoft would let this franchise go to the PS3! Even though Remedy owns the IP, if they wanted to go multiplatform I'm sure Microsoft would throw millions their way...

rroded4999d ago

"Though he clarified why Remedy want to keep Alan Wake IP in Microsoft’s hands: “Microsoft put a lot of beef behind the title for it to be an exclusive for the 360. They feel it’s an important title for their portfolio. It fits into their portfolio among other games like Gears of War, Halo and Forza.”

enjoy your ms $$$ er beef but at least put out the next one on pc so you can get sum sales...

DelbertGrady4998d ago

And right after that they said that they agree with MS and are happy working with them.

aceofspades4998d ago

EVERYBODY READ CEZ OF RAGES COMMENTS. WHAT A FANBOY.

nycredude4998d ago

Soda

Happy working with them and making money are two separate things. This is a business and 5 years in the making with less than 1m sold is not smart business.

@aceofspade

I stopped reading anything written by Cez a long time ago. That fool is on an island and is by far the worst of the deluded fanboys.

I'm not sure that I've ever heard a PS3 owner say they want Alan Wake to come to PS3.

blodulv4998d ago

There.

I bought a 360 again (yes, I traded mine in a while back) mainly for this game and I certainly wouldn't have had it come to the PS3.

So far, it is leading my GOTY candidate.

dragon824998d ago

I already own it and it is one of my favorite games on the Xbox 360 right behind Splinter Cell: Conviction. I wouldn't mind seeing on the PS3 as well. At least maybe Remedy would get some more sales that way.

SeanRL4997d ago

I'd love for Alan wake to come to ps3, it was a great game.

ABizzel14998d ago

It better happen. Alan Wake was a good game, and Remedy put a lot of money into the engine and the game. But Alan Wake didn't sell nearly enough to recoup the loses. So that leaves Remedy in a tough spot. Either make Alan Wake, multiplat, license their engine, or make a completely new game.

And the easiest and best thing to do would be the first 2 options. Making Alan Wake multiplat should take no more than a year to port over to the PS3 (that's how long it took to port Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 with additional features). The game should garner up some extra sells for them, but probably still not enough.

Licensing the eninge is by far the best route. The engine can display some impressive visuals, but they need to get developers on board and off the Unreal Engine (which would be a blessing for most of us). No offense to the Unreal Engine, but having 70% of games using one engine doesn't add much variety.

Starting a completely new game is an option, but then that's back to tons of research and development, coding, and so much more that they'll just continue to dig a debt.

I wish Remedy the best of luck.

19424998d ago (Edited 4998d ago )

i agree if they don't go multiplat then there will be no alan wake 2 because of how bad the first flopped. to put 5 years and a lot of money into the games development just to have it review and sell as bad as it did should of convinced them to go multiplat now. it would be just stupid to put it on the 360 only knowing they only want sci fi shooters.

blahblah4998d ago

Microsoft as ip owner has. and they will surely rather take this loss than make it multiplatform. and strategically this is perfectly sane and best decision on MS side. gain some, lose some. it is the way of business

and to calm you down. remedy probably didn't even suffer any loss as MS was surely financing development as ip owner.

Dee_914998d ago

i was really looking forward to AW2/s

creamydingle4998d ago

So will there even be an Alan Wake 2? with the sales of Alan Wake I doubt they will make a sequel. I dont think after the long production time of the Alan Wake they would have made any money yet.

ProjectVulcan4998d ago

It might help if microsoft have even confirmed and agreed to a sequel, they still arent sure about it because of less than stellar sales is the word on the street.

DarkSpawnClone4998d ago

No skin off my back.not the type of game I'm interested in really, i don't even watch movies that are like alan wake. Not my cup of tea.

somerandomdude4998d ago

Alan Wake is a good rental, nothing more.

I see a lot of 360 owners bent out of shape with "trolling" don't forget this article states "want alan wake on ps3 you have to forget about it right now" Could this be flaim bait? Alan Wake is not the game it is being hyped as, it's worth a play through but isn't the second coming of silent hill or anything like that.

blahblah4998d ago (Edited 4998d ago )

360 fanboys are envious about ps3 owners not being envious for Alan Wake. there never was any doubt it will never come on ps3, nor was any begging/loud wishing.

might be even great game, it is just that console it was made on is not ground for this game type.

i'm too much behind on ps3 games i still want to play to wish one more that will never happen' anyway.

but based on sales i think ps3 people are not the only one who will not see AW2

vhero4998d ago

Why would there be an article like this?? there was never a rumour saying it may be coming to PS3.. It's madness.

Do not want :o. Hell, I have a 360,a modded one. Guess what? I wont even spend $1.333 on a dl dvd for the game. Don't know why. Bleh. Guess it reminds me of Fatal Frame in a way but instead of a camera, you have a flashlight. Not that I know anything having to do with AW, just not genuinely interested. Oh well, move along there's nothing to see here.

TheLeprachaun4999d ago

I'd advise you give it a go. I thoroughly enjoyed the game. Not my GOTY but definitely top 5.

pwnzter4999d ago (Edited 4999d ago )

Wouldn't hurt. Maybe in the future.

MisterNiwa4998d ago

Lol, sorry, but you know nothing of this game.

Its not even scary!? Its all about the story telling which is superb.

AhmadVGArabia4998d ago

is ridiculous. Fanboys are destroying the site by doing this.

DeeZee4998d ago

I think some people reported it because they knew it would start a flame war...

dragon824998d ago

Would that be the fanboys who reported this article or the fanboys who wrote it??

Kind of a goody story...

On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.

gigoran87h ago

wait, that place is real? national lampoon wasn't kidding?

Knightofelemia8h ago

Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.

Chocoburger5h ago

Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.

Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.

Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄

Rynxie14m ago

Most likely she wanted to resell a few or most of them. However, it was a too good to be true situation.

Profchaos1h ago

So in short she paid $240.00 assuming usd for a bunch on unactivated game codes.

I still don't understand why I guess cause there's not a physical version and she wanted something for a collection or art project.

Rynxie15m ago

No, most likely to resell. However, she ended up getting screwed.

A thermos is upending the Alan Wake community

Remedy has Alan Wake merch on sale, including a pretty blue thermos. Unfortunately, things haven’t gone according to plan, and many players who want a thermos find themselves without one, though it does appear that Remedy is attempting to fix things. Nevertheless, it has resulted in a lot of upset, illustrating just how much the thermos means to Alan Wake fans.
