This could be a good piece if the first game listed wasn't completely wrong. Ubisoft said it met their expectations and have made no other comments on it, saying it's a disappointment is a fabrication.

tinybigman5020d ago

for my PS2 so there would be no point in buying it for the wii. as for the others i'll get the Dead Space game with DS2 when it drops.

i'm quite surprised at RS2 numbers considering part 1 did over a million. as

NovaXz5020d ago

It is an opinion piece and selling around 250,000 units, when compared to the originals 1.5 million is a disappointment, no matter what Ubisoft's damage control says.

SpoonyRedMage5020d ago (Edited 5020d ago )

VGcharts was the source for sales, that doesn't add credibility especially considering Ubi's expectations for the title was 500K which they said it reached so until they give some indication as to real numbers then we're safer to assume it sold what they expected.

...and it's not damage control, CEO's don't damage control to their shareholders.. you know because lying about losing money to the people who employ you isn't the greatest of ideas.

tl;dr I'll take the word of Ubisoft's CEO to his shareholders over someone who cites VGchartz.

@V: Well Red Steel 2 is the only one I disagree with really and I think I would have put Little King's Story there instead.

NovaXz5020d ago

Fair enough, although I still believe the article is an opinion piece and the numbers are there for those who care about numbers. Still I agree with the games on the list.

Cheeseknight285020d ago

Funny, my brother is playing Little King's Story right now. It really is one of the best gems on the Wii, pity Cing went out of business.

For those that haven't heard of it, think a more complicated and harder version of Pikmin and you've pretty much nailed it.

CotieD5020d ago

I agree, most of those games are pretty fantastic (Minus Dead Space Extraction, as I haven't played it and will be waiting for the PS3 version now)

But definitely Okami and Muramasa. I loved the artwork in both of them and I really couldn't say no to Muramasa after Odin Sphere.

dead space extraction and madworld

upon reading title thats the first thing that popped in my head!

Muramasa ROCKS :D

Dead Space Extraction better than the original Dead Space?

Okaaaaay...

lucian229632d ago

I played all three. Didn't find them fun, just had nothing to play. I don't think I beat third game though. Combat was super clunky, graphics and art design were ugly imo, story in first game wasn't too bad, rest were meh.

Over hyped series imo, also it doesn't help horror games don't scare me, so I guess that's a big reason for me too.

Play Alien Isolation on Hard or Nightmare.

Start on the movie DLC so that you don’t have to play a bunch of campaign in order to find out if you’ll be scared.

lucian229632d ago

I heard that was a good one. Honestly vr games scare me with jump scares because of how the threat feels real.

MIDGETonSTILTS17632d ago

There isn’t an official VR mode, unfortunately.

The audio should pull you right in if you use headphones.

Just finished playing the first, enjoyed the fact Isaac was a silent alien crushing psycho doom-guy type. Just started the second yesterday and I'm annoyed he's a talker now and sounds like a regular guy who hasn't been through hell, but I suppose he couldn't remain silent.

VersusDMC632d ago

Dead Space 2 is my favorite followed by 1 then 3. All are good to me though. Just beat all 3 on series X and they hold up.

As simple as 1,2,3.

Extraction, then Ignition.
