You can also add Resonance of Fate to that list.

But why DMC4? The Blitz was easy. DMC3 should have been there.

ClownBelt5041d ago

Huh? I actually didn't find myself being frustrated on that game. Once you get the second MG, everything becomes a piece of cake...

Anyways, I don't get how FF 13 is frustrating...

Yakuza 3 mini games are frustrating.

NovusTerminus5041d ago

Not to bad once you understand it. But from what I gather most people give up before they get anywhere. I am chapter 6 and not having many problems in the arena.

FFXIII was kind of easy though.

And where is Demons Souls?

Dramscus5040d ago

only people looking for a frustrating game experience play demons souls.
Wasn't it's main selling feature the fact that it's extremely difficult lol

GhostOfSparta785041d ago

Yeah, I heard Demon Souls was super hard, but it has its rewards. It also belongs with that list.

Darkstorn5041d ago (Edited 5041d ago )

Difficult does not equal frustrating. If this were a list of 'difficult' games, Ninja Gaiden would surely be on there, as would Demon's Souls.

SOAD5041d ago

Demon's Souls was frustrating. Getting killed and sent back to the beginning of the level with all the enemies respawned is the biggest slap in the face. And when you're climbing up towers and slip off the edge of a staircase to your death, that's even worse.

T9X695041d ago

Wow all those games are easy as hell, throw Demon Souls up there, or even Modnation Racers with its cheap ass AI hahah

CountDracula5041d ago

Call of Cthulhu for PC was a real bitch.

Darkstorn5041d ago

Amazing game, though. Best survival horror game to date. And if you like H.P. Lovecraft, it's beyond amazing.

Then again, it was mainly the difficult puzzles that added the brunt of the challenge. The shooting was awesome.

CountDracula5041d ago

Ha. Yeah I agree completely. But damn were those moments when you realize that they took all your weapons away and a fishy fellow looks at you and yells "Stop, Stranger!" then shoots the brain matter right out of your system.

Ahh!... good-times.

(Boots up the game again) lol

Darkstorn5041d ago

And the bosses! Dagon and those two flying mutant things near the end were terrifying, not to mention when you first see the final boss.

I need to play that game again. I heard they were making a sequel set in Antarctica, but it was canned. Such a shame.

vampstreak5041d ago

how are those games frustrating? They are all easy for me, maybe not ff13 when fighting the second to last boss

Ranking the Devil May Cry Series

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."

First to last for me...3,4,5,1,2.

VersusDMC55m ago

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

Still a good game though.

Friendlygamer2h ago

3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

2.
Dmc.
4.
5.
1.
3.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best

He just wasn't interesting sadly and to have Snake in the game, even playing him for a bit then give us the old switcharoo was just bad.

Put it this way, he was so bland they had to make him a cool cyborg ninja in the 4th game.

Cacabunga76d ago

i also has mixed feelings about Raiden.. First reason was because I didn't even know he was the main character in the game (I only bought gaming magazines once in a while) and I had a MGS 2 demo in the bunker which was starring Snake.
Second reason I won't say he is uninteresting but just overshadowed by Snake.. the gameplay in the end of the game with the double analog sticks saber slicing was nice and I liked Raiden for that reason (improved in MGS Rising).

Playing with Solid Snake was just a wow moment every time in comparison.. Only Naked Snake could stand against Solid Snake for me..

raWfodog75d ago

He definitely grew on me as the game progressed but I was initially pissed because I was expecting to play as Snake. It was the old bait-and-switch lol.

Becuzisaid76d ago

Maybe. But his dialogue and voice acting didn't do him any good. No offense to the voice actor, he was much better in mgs4, so it's not his fault. Raiden was extremely whiny and just not interesting.

shinoff218376d ago

I didn't mind Raiden, in part 2. I never cared for rising but it was way more action heavy and at the time its not what I was looking for in a mgs game. I would retry it though these days

I enjoyed doing cartwheels while holding my balls on a giant warship, haha! Definitely a great character. I also enjoyed his spinoff game, it was short and simple but they did a good job putting it together.
