Binge Gamer writes: Let's put the nail in the coffin over this 'downloadable content on the disc issue' that becomes a topic time and time again.
The issue here isn't if DLC is a good thing or not, take that argument elsewhere. The issue here isn't if charging for DLC is a good thing or not, again, take that elsewhere. This is ONLY about the content of the "DLC" already on the disc of the game you own. So to access the content of the disc you own, you have to pay more money, this is it.
Soul Calibur IV launched worldwide 15 years ago, bringing with it the best performance of the series to date.
Hell no. It was the start of the downfall (SCV) of the series. Huge downstep from the giant SCIII
Used to love this series, probably my favorite 3D fighter, perhaps together with the now also dead Dead or Alive (2-3-4), but as with so many games in the fighting genre, their short-term greed (season passes) has made me lose all interest, sadly …
Loved Number 2 and 3( loved all the solo modes like chronicle of the sword ) so was super hyped when 4 came out but the lack of single player content was disappointing. Still love soul calibur to this day though
From VG247: "Link suits the world of Soul Calibur. The elf-like little twink fit into the roster as well as any sword-wielding fantasy hero could – facing off against the likes of the machiavellian Frenchman Raphael, the inhuman hellspawn Astaroth, or the horny gimp Voldo, the Legend of Zelda guest character fits right in. Weaponry, aesthetic, move set… all of it gels with Soul Calibur’s camp high fantasy world – even when you’re pulling massive bombs out of God-knows-where and hurling them across the stage. It just fits.
You know what doesn’t fit, though? Lightsabers. No amount of sci-fi reasoning, magic, or blaming it on wizards can make Yoda, Darth Vader, and (eurgh) Starkiller fit in the war-torn European and Silk Road settings of Soul Calibur. It just doesn’t track. Why Bandai Namco decided to shoehorn the trio of characters into the fourth Soul Calibur game, then, remains a mystery; it’s damaging to both brands, it makes no sense canonically, and – more than anything else – it’s just all a bit tacky (or should that be Taki?)"
One of the most popular video game franchises of all time is set to receive a Netflix film adaptation, according to an announcement on Tuesday afternoon.
Gee...can't wait to see how many things they change and stray away from, oh don't forget the miscast actors
Netflix did well with Dare Devil and the Punisher and I hear the Witcher is pretty good I know when I had Netflix at the time Stranger Things was also good. But Bioshock I love the franchise Bioshock Infinite is my favorite game I would pay the $21 Canadian just to check out Bioshock. Normally I would never renew my Netflix after they did their price hike but Bioshock would be worth it.
Love Bioshock but I'll prepare myself for the likelihood this will be both crap and a pale imitation of the source material. That covers most video game adaptations and Netflix films.
When DLC takes one second to install... that is suspect.
the truth.
The first instance of this I can remember was Scamco Bandai doing it with Beautiful Katamari. It was bullshit then, and it's bullshit now. One of the scummiest ways DLC is abused.
I agree. What Crapcom did with the Resident Evil 5 DLC was the scummiest move in all of gaming history in my opinion really. That is basically theft. They also had the nerve to charge gamers for the activation key...seriously??? nar i mean SERIOUSLY???
I'm just glad i didn't buy that pos. I couldn't live with myself knowing i'm giving my money to such scum. Glad i skipped on FF13 also. That was just a mediocre mess.
In before some loser comes and says "bu bu but it's ok i don't care, i'd buy every dlc. doesn't matter if it's on the disk i'll pay more for gimped content". lol
You know someone will be here saying such nonsense.
