To be honest I've had mixed opinions of HHG. But I like his love and passion for games.

People that have a grudge against him because of the way he speaks are just dumb.

Let the guy do what he does. If you dont like him then don't watch. It's like you telling me what music you like and then me saying that those bands are sh*t because I don't like them.

In my opinion does it a lot better and more interesting way that most "proper" journalist.

Yes I feel the same way. a friend made the mistake of buying a wii and a few of us spent a couple of hours waving our arms about madly to a boxing game one night. There was no relation between what we were doing and what was happening on the screen AT ALL. Although I'm certain had we been playing with the clearly vastly more acurate Move it would have been a completely different and superior experience. Recently had the misfortune to play through heavy rain and hated the parts where you are meant to shake the controller. I'm sure that Move will be one of the better if not the best implemented motion sensing tech but i'm more concerned about game development resourses being drained
towards shallow party games or gimped FPS's

closets can only store so much.ps move kills the idea of tons of accessories.the controller can be ANYTHING the developers want it to be.no need to buy all these contraptions.buy ONE move and it can be a gun,steering wheel,sword,light saber,tennis racket,etc.

Shovelware. Nintendo gets a ton of it and to the non-hardcore gamer some of those games are appealing on the game's idea alone. It still costs too much to develop games on PS3 so even though the motion based PS3 games might become the best next thing, if it doesn't have a game selection of 1000's of games I don't think Nintendo has much to worry about.

Everybody here has bought a total dud game just because they thought the game's concept or something sounded cool. And for the Wii crowd there's far too many choices to buy a PS3 and MOVE for one or 2 games no matter how neato they look in HD.

But there's so many games for the Wii that if somebody was walking into the electronics store and looked at everything without knowing everything already, my guess is they go with the Wii still because there's a ton of games. Some of those games are under 10 bucks even. And if you only have "X" ammount of money (which is a major factor in this now since the real game heads already have systems) that you want to spend on something you're not that into I just don't see the mass market a.k.a Wii crowd switching.

And the Wii is cheaper.

The difference between HHG and gaming sites like Kotaku and others is that unlike HHG they back up their claims with real sources. And if they didn't they would get tons of heat from readers and other publications and lose their credibility.

If Sony push the boundaries of what can be done with motion control, factoring in the extra power, perhaps, but not quite. Extra power doesn't necessarily mean better and Nintendo are masters at *gaming*.

It's an aspect that Nintendo have tended to forget about though - and hopefully it should inspire a little more competition and perhaps something more coming from Miyamoto & friends.

And then we see as/when/if Natal steps up to the plate.

Actually met up with HHG at the NYC Move showing/gathering and he's legit. The videos don't do him justice when you actually get to meet him and be around him irl. He kept things pretty exciting I must say, in a good way. Was nice being able to meet him.

Anyway, after meeting him and actually being around him during parts of the night, etc, I'll now never understand the "hate" for him lol he receives here. Way I see it now is, someone simply expressing his enthusiasm, passion, and excitement for gaming, and in this case the new Move tech.

Keep doing your thing HHG, hopefully I'll run into you again at a future event that I'll be able to make. Oh and this time...be able to spin the belt :( never had a chance to do that lol.

I've personally enjoyed the heck out of it on things like Mario Kart, No More Heroes, Zelda, but there's so much more that could be done.

Yes Wii sports is the only game to use motion controls... IF you forget Boom Blox, Lost Winds, Metroid, SMG, Mario Kart, NMH, redSteel2, and so many other games. Your comment fails based on pure ignorance on your part.

Really? You must have never touched a Wii or any of its games. I have yet to see a game on Wii that forced you to use just one control scheme. Even FPS that use IR pointing allow for vast customization.

ok, now that i got that out of my system, i've read a few HHG articles, and now is see first hand how bad he is. its kind of like he's a sony fanboy or something, or a sony mega fanboy. he screams like a girl and says nintendo has lost when move hasn't even come out yet. it took him WAY too long to get to the point. IIRC, the actually stuff start 25 minutes in or so, with him actually using move.

even though its a tech demo, i was underimpressed. moving a block and a robot moving when you move, but yet HHG said nintendo is screwed.

i think sony got some of their thunder stolen with the 3DS.

move, more or less, has been done, *CoughWiiCough* i think even 3ds will get sony's 3d tvs a run for there money kind of. IIRC you have to put on glasses for the tv to see the 3D, while the 3DS you don't. even that dsi ware game you don't need glasses. glasses might not seem like an issue, but what happens when you get the boys over the watch NFL HD 3D, and you only have like 4 glasses and you got 10 people who want to see your TV in 3D. :\

e3 should be really cool this year. although i want to know more about the 3DS than anything else than from the other 2.

A simple analog nub built-in the main controller can solve many problems, add value, reduce cost for gamers, emulate the DualShock3 configuration and a whole new world of gameplay possibilities to the Move System.

The main reason why the HHG hated the Wii was because of it's non HD like graphics, the second reason was because he cleary stated, "Who wants to play games with motion controls?".

How announcements and aftermath for nintendo work

1. Nintendo introduces/announces new technology

2. They see some games, fun, not what they specualted but still interested

3. They see no "core" games and graphics that aren't as good as the competition

4. It's crap, THESE CONTROLS ARE RUBBISH. NINTENDO DITCH THEIR HARDCORE

5. Another company sees nintendo making large amounts of money from it, release something similar

6. Internet releases

I think some people just love to hate Nintendo, also remember the gamecube was the first to do 3D it was never impimented but the technology was there.

well now there are overwieght gamers and yeah ti may have stereotyped the gamer population but theres no denying that the likelyhood of the lazy gamers are also teh overweight ones. I recall one time long ago when people were bashing the wii about motion controls (when it wasn't understood how it worked) of how it would take too much effort to move and waggle the wiimote and would be a huge turn off to these lazy and fat gamers. that was one of the problems of old but never held ground. for the ps move however... this will ACTUALLY require more than waggling around the controller so unless ur not lazy or fat or both the ps move would also be a turn off but in bigger scale than the wiimote's speculated turn off prediction. There are overweight gamers and some will not like the idea of moving arounnd and such. even worse with the lazy gamers. I don't know how many gamers that are ACTUALLY fit (can play soccer for 3 hours or play basketball till bored) but if there are alot of physically fit gamers then there must be even more lazy gamers (including the overweight) as the lazy cover at least 4-10 of the gamer population compared to the 2-10 of the physically fit. sadly I dont have the numbes to prove this. hell if anyone can come up with the actual stats then kudos to u but i have yet to see stats of the sort and physically fit people prefer workouts and sports over gaming (instead of pwning ur friend in madden why not make it more fun by pwning him in real life?)

Sony has motion devices dating before 2004. Nintendo was the first to implement it, yes, but Sony will show you that it can be done BETTER and without the shovelware.

BUT even if Sony did have that ominous devices dating before '04 Nintendo still got it on the market before Sony. What that means? Sony got it tested and debugged by about 10 people and on about 3 games while Nintendo's technology got tested and debugged with the help of millions of people on hundreds or thousands of games. That's a learning effect Sony just doesn't have.

Q why not add an analog stick & d-pad to the Move & trigger1/2 buttons, so you have the option of traditional ds3 controls or motion control? Also, with a move with an analog stick & d-pad, you can just buy two Moves(and the benefits of having two) instead of a move and a nunchuck attachment. Just look at the various intefaces for this motion controller with a Half Life 2 mod - http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Could even use just one controller for the HL2 shooter because it had analog stick as well as motion control.
