Top 10 Best Dragon Ball Games of All Time

When it comes to the Dragonball series, there is a plethora of games, old and new, that one could find. Whether it be the original series, Dragonball Z, or Dragonball GT, there are a lot of games one can find. Unfortunately, Dragonball is not necessarily blessed with having great games. Despite this, there are games within the series that either come out decent or even really good. This article defines the top ten Dragon Ball games of all time.

budokai 1 2 and 3 were my faves, but especially budokai 3 because of the way you could fly around in story mode and discover stuff e.g. the secret fight with broly! I LOVED BUDOKAI 3 back in the good old PS2 and DBZ saga days! I never liked tenkaichi as much though, I prefer the side of side fighting similar to tekken/street fighter rather than the tenkaichi style of flying around though - since budokai 3 no DBZ has caught my eye unfortunately :( The dbz games this gen arent worthy of the dbz name..

Budokai 3 was my favorite Tenkaichi made it too for a new player to beat you(not as bad as MK though)

Tenkaichi 2 is a lot better than Tenkaichi 3. Also, they only have one of the Legacy of Goku games on there. Legacy of Goku 2 and 3 were the best Dragon Ball Z games ever to be released, of course that is my opinion. Dragon Ball Advance Adventure is garbage.

Where is burst limit? Though it lacked content such as a few characters and levels, it substantially improved upon the already great fighting system in Budokai 3. Not to mention it's hands down the best looking DBZ game yet

Burst Limit was hands down the worst Dragon Ball Z game I have ever played.

Burst Limit is just Budokai 1 with better graphics and online.

In my opinion Raging Blast is number 1 followed by Budokai 3 and Tenkaichi 3

In terms of content and the part of the DBZ storyline it follows, then yes you are correct. But like I said, I don't think there's any denying that all of the new gameplay mechanics introduced were great. All they need is a proper sequel which spans the entire DBZ storyline with more characters and levels.

Raging blast is just like Tenkaichi which is why I don't care for it. Raging blast doesn't look near as good, not even half as good, as Burst Limit. And though the Tenkaichi games always are the best in terms of the sheer amount of content is put in the games, the core fighting mechanics lack the polish, tightness, and fluidity of the Budokai/Burst Limit games. And though neither game has a combo system with the complexity of Soul Caliber or Dead or Alive, the tenkaichi/raging blast games have the most shallow combo system out of the two games we're debating, with most of the characters playing exactly the same.

I agree however, Raging Blast looks at least 2 x better than Burst Limit. Burst Limit those models weren't even from the anime they all had huge muscles and it was so unrealistic. Raging Blast has the models down to the pixel. Runs at 60FPS online too.

The best dbz games ever released were on snes and genesis imo . With no so far behind supersonic warriors on gba/ds .

The best being yet imo dbz 2 : the sayan legend on Supernes .

The rest of the games , especially the hd ones , were too busy being eyecandy and milking the franchise and roster , to be caring about gameplay , fihgting mechanics , proper balance , and most of all the speed sensations that should be displayed in a good db adaptations .

Dragonball Z – Buyū Retsuden and Budokai 3 ftw! =)

One DBZ-RPG for the SNES. It was turn based, can't remember the name but it went up to the end of the Namek saga. It was like open-world and you get random encounters as you travel around the world. You can find dragonballs(i think, not so sure). But it was just a really awesome game. The only jitter was that the English translation was not so gud. It was not as bad as "All your base are belong to us" but you get the point. Really need to find it again sometime.

Burst Limit looked hot but the fun factor wasnt as good as Budokai 3. Samething with Raging Blast and Tenkaichi 3. The devs just rehashed the same game with less characters for a new system

Yeah i know that the gameplay kinda sucked cause was way to slow but the soundtrack is pure gold.
I think that Budokai 3 should be first and Tenkaichi 2 second cause their were simply the best.
