at least they said its almost done and should come out in the near future.

Near future = Q3 2010? Hopefully sooner than we hope.

They worked so hard for this.. I am definitely donating when it releases.
One of the greatest FPS's to ever exist + one of the greatest game engines ever created = OMGWTFGODLIKE

Haven't they been saying that for going on 6 years? As much as I wish for it to come, I can never see if getting a release.

I'll give them all the time they want. Everytime I see a development

video from them I just get excited. The level of polish they're putting

in this game is incredible.

I can wait, I'm patient

As long as the mod is worthy of the greatest game of all time (AKA the gospel of Freeman), I say give em 2 more years just to make sure it kicks the maximum amount of ass possible.

If a game EVER needed teh epic, this is it.

whatever happen to unlocking characters by playing the game? lol

CaptainYesterday3935d ago

I know I miss that so much it sucks when characters and costumes are DLC :(

Blues Cowboy3935d ago

F2P games are starting to realise that. Everything can be unlocked in Planetside 2, for example.

Remember that these games are free, but have to make money somehow. A couple of quid here and there is probably not a big ask for something you'll play for 20 hours +.

That said, I still hate DLC that takes characters and stuff out in full-priced games. Either it's freemium or premium, you shouldn't have both.

Gran Touring3935d ago

Not to mention, Planetside 2's F2P model is pretty well implemeneted in that paying players have no strict advantage over players that dont.
