Top Ten Disappointments of 2009

With such a stellar year for gaming, 2009 still had those disappointments that happen every year. It's time to look back at the Top Ten Disappointments of 2009.

Nobody bought Wii Motion Plus? Isn't Wii Sports Resort one of the best selling games of the year? Didn't Tiger Woods sell well also? In fact, didn't all of the M+ pack-in games sell well? So, in fact, well over a million M+s have been sold.

The reason few games have been released utilizing it so far is because Nintendo failed to provide developers with the tools they needed to create M+ games in a timely manner. In fact, many devs didn't see the tech until it was unveiled at E3 '08. I'd expect more games utilizing it next year.

It's still a peripheral, Wii Fit also sold tons and hardly anyone made games for it.

Motion+ is what the Wii should have been in the first place, too late to recover it now.

#1 would have to (at least for me) the 360's extreme lack of good games (imo).

How could Section 8, Raven Squad, Darkest of Days, Stoked, and Race Pro be disapointments. They were not hyped at all. Btw I liked Section 8 I found nothing disapointing about it. Was fun until people stopped playing it for MW2

I agree with everything on the list except for Ninja Blade. Nobody can be disappointed over a game if they weren't excited about it in the first place.

Sorry guys but for me it was Killzone 2. Just to slow for my FPS preference.

just because it doesn't play like a rail shooter it doesn't mean like it's a let down.

I had a couple of friends that didn't like Killzone 2 either. After hearing them gripe I had to say "So basically you hate it because it's not Call of Duty, is that about right?"

I loved the game. The multiplayer just sucked me right in and it was nice to play something online that wasn't trying to be Call of Duty.

Not that I have anything against Call of Duty, but Killzone 2 was a welcome breath of fresh air.

Street Fighter 4, yeah it was fun for a while then it just got boring, cheap ai in most modes, the trials were not that bad, the input needed to be right and last but not least the online. Championship mode was great where your opponent cannot counter pick, but the ranked matches had to many whores like RAGE quitters and counter picks with 'Ryu, Sagat, Ken, Zangief, Akuma' but you figure the way they play. The disagrees will come flying in soon.... but the Rock will check you into the Smackdown Hotel.

And yeah Street Fighter 4 should of been FRESH like the Street Fighter 3 series instead of the same SF2 remixed recycled background music like Ryu's stage over and over again along with some of the older characters.

motion plus isn't a failure last i checked. Everyone I know has the peripheral and red steel will use it. It's the only true 1:1 option availible now. It has about 5 games, I don't think devs know what to do with real 1:1 motion yet. They got too used to mapping vague motions to actions not precise ones. I would love to see a zack and wiki sequel with +... totally rock.

We shouldn't listen to anybodies list of disappointments, unless there big and well know, because, obviously, they couldn't be right unless they are big and well known. that's why you took the time to watch this video and comment on it. Because it doesn't matter to you.
Totally agree with the "sucky time to be a wii owner" by the way. I have a friend who just sold his wii and bought a ps3 and he's playing Killzone right now and couldn't be happier. Oh, and 360's lineup did suck, but ps3's more than made up for it.

Killzone 2 is easily the biggest disappointment of 2009. How bad you say???? Well nobody wanted to buy it. Hell even Halo ODST which is essentially just DLC easily beat Killzone 2 in just a few weeks. Amazing.

Call the public uninformed for loving the Wii console but the fact remains that there are people enjoying the console and its lineup. So please take your Wii hate videos elsewhere... its so 2008.
