I'm on the fence, I haven't seen GT PSP being played so I cant say if its real, however you can see him use the PSP controls to select replay and change the camera during so it doesn't seem to be a video unless he times it perfectly. I have also seen most of / if not all the GT5 footage and haven't seen this video before.
All things aside if that is GT PSP OMG all I can say is how does it look so good!

It's going a little overboard comparing it to Forza by scaling down the size, but still, this is a real life proof of what to expect from GT5... All thre reviewers left out one vital thing with their GTPSP reviews. Gameplay is so intense and it is visually stunning for a handheld racer compared to any of the existing racers for it.

This Handheld has been shown some love with this title.

That's a problem because....? GT PSP replay mode doesn't run at 30FPS and it doesn't improve the visuals at all. It's the same 60FPS as actual game play.

Wipeout on the PSP looks as good a the PS3 version. So what's the point in this? It all comes down to the screen size. You have to remember the PSP is rendering at a fraction of what the 360 or PS3 is, and therefore requiring a lot less horsepower to make the games look good. If this game was blown up to HD resolution it would be a horrible jaggy mess.

Compare it to Forza3 or any other console game is a bit ridiculous, but it helps to put in perspective that is a gorgeous looking game for a handheld. I tell you most other racers on psp (or any handheld lol) cant hold a candle to gtpsp.
Yes, the game looks as good as this video. Not only in replays but also while playing. Bumper camera is exactly the same except for the fact that while driving you can't remove the hud. For myself I prefere cokpit camera: you loose some detail on the other cars but it is much more immersive.
It's not surprising that so much people are astonished at those psp graphics. Reviews have been mainly focused on the "no career" and "random car dealer" argument, scores have been low due to this, but graphics, handling and amount of content are incredible. Many gamers have been deceived by those reviews.

I understand that for some gamers lack of career can be frustrating. For me it was very easy to overcome.

Final goal: purchase all 830 cars, unlock all tracks at all difficulty levels.
Setup: no blue line, no aids at all, professional handling.
Limits: You can't play on a C track level until all D level tracks have been cleared (you have to win a race to unlock levels). Then for C, for B...
You are forced to purchase at least one car every two days and then racing once with it. Note: car dealers change every two days
You can only make one complete practice level (litlle games that relatively give you more money) every 10 days.
You have no limit as to the number of laps that you might setup on your race (the more laps, the bigger the price, but also credits per lap reduce).

Note: each time you make one race one day passes.

With this very simple system that needs no paper tracking you can feel a progression.
Once you have unlocked all tracks and because there will still be tons of cars to unlock, you can create your own championships with just a piece of paper. You can limit yourself to japanese cars, european cars, american cars, 60s cars, racing only on certain type of tracks, create series, etc...

When you compress pics and videos flaws will show up in games that don't have them in normal situations also compression will make average looking games look great because when you smash the detail, graphical effects and flaws they become less pronounced.

This is why PS3 fans keep doing this. This is worse than the Forza 3 vs Need for Speed Shift! smoke and mirrors trickery. In the comparison pics NFS-S looked close to Forza 3 but when you play both games on hardware hooded up to a HDTV, NFS-S looked like it was from last generation in comparison to Forza, when I played both I actually felt sorry for the people doing this.
