Rock Band NDA Lifts - Information Overload

GWN just received an email from Rock Band's PR firm. Attached to the email was a word doc containing tons of new and exciting details about the game, including new screenshots and the game logo. Here's a small taste from the full article:

"Drumming in the spotlight! Showcase a real drum solo with Rock Band's freestyle drum fill windows featured in each song. Break out your own rhythm and style as anything goes!

Call out the crowd! Vocalists can bring the crowd to their feet during Rock Band's freestyle vocal fill windows. Ad-lib your own words or shout to the crowd to raise the rock intensity of the performance.

Save your mates! Band mates can fail out of a song for poor performance, but the band still plays on. Rescue your failing mate by busting out signature moves and blistering solos to wow the crowd with showmanship.

Boost your bonus! Earn bonus points for your band during Rock Band's Unison Phrase opportunities if everyone plays perfectly. A single mistake blows the phrase for everyone."

Damn I can't wait for this game! I just wish I could play GH 2 on my ps3 it just teases me and sits in the corner collecting dust. November can't come soon enough.

I think I was in the same boat as most people and was seeing Rock Band as a complete rip-off of GH, just making people buy the extras.

Now I know more about the game, I just can't wait and will probably end up buying the new wireless guitar and the drums.

All I want now is some sort of Setlist!!!

Yeah the track list for this game I bet is going to be amazing. IGN had an article where they had a hands on and they got to play 6 songs and 4 of them were master tracks and MTV said they are going for as many master tracks as they can. But with downloadable songs to come after release I can see the track list being as large as you want it to be (or depending on the size of your wallet).

Is the site down?
Edit: Working now. This game looks amazing.

sa_nick6139d ago

Yeah, I think the whole site is down... which sucks.

F5 F5 F5 F5.... any minute now.... F5 F5 F5.....

This sounds absolutely amazing, especially for those wanabee rockstars who have no talent whatsoever and have to live their dream through a game - ME!!

I think creating a band online and touring sounds mindblowingly good - I can't wait to get my hands on that Fender so I can belt out some Iron Maiden at Madison Square Gardens

Finally up again!! Not a lot of new news there. However it does mention some surprises as far as Bass goes. Also, the drum pedal is confirmed to have some resistance to it, which is awesome.

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Profchaos4h ago

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Armored Core VI?

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

Is something big coming soon to branch the story?

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

Furesis21h ago

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

anast19h ago

It's worth a play through today.
