New Persona 3 Portable Screenshots and Gameplay Videos

Persona 3 may be back, but it's not exactly the same. Atlus brought in the experts to see if this new version was bearable.

It looks like they replaced the main character with a pointer when you're in school and in the city. Kinda lame if you ask me. Oh well, at least the MC is visible/controllable when dungeon crawling. Also, Yukari, Junpei and Ken social links for the female MC. The new music isn't good, imo.

Those issues aside, I'm still getting it. Persona 3 was one of the best and freshest RPGs I've played in quite a while. I'm very interested in playing as a chick. Lesbian sex!!!

Forgot to mention, the load times are extremely quick compared to the PS2 one. I wonder if they installed the game or not.

Still disappointed they replaced the MC with a cursor, but it's completely understandable. It's adds the portable experience to it, and it saves up/removes space.

Considering the videos where showing use of the game on PSP Go which has no UMD then yeah it's installed and will have very quick load times.

I would assume the reason they made it pointer based in the school is the wonkyness of the analog stick and D-Pad on the PSP and they could not take a point approach in the dungeons hence why they are unchanged.

Persona 3 is one of the best RPG's of all time and it will be great to play it again with a new perspective and added content.

This makes me excited for Persona 5 because this most likely means P5 will have the ability to choose Male for Female from the outset and will probably effect the story and social links alot more then they will be affected in P3 due to the fact that this is a addition and in P5 it will be implemented from the start or so I can hope.

This also makes me wonder if we will see a new version of P4 at some point which would certainly be interesting.

Oh looks pretty interesting, i thought the music was pretty good imo.Wait did i just see a gy version of Elizabeth?Lol!!!I might actually buy a Psp just for this game.I gues i gotta look for a part time job hehe.

Reibooi5356d ago

The Velvet room assistant is male if you choose to play as a Female which makes sense considering it will most likely be a social link like Elizabeth was in P3 Fes.

ZeroYui5356d ago

Ah i see, that makes sense.

Persona 3 Director Says The Game Saved Atlus From Collapsing

The studio was on the verge of collapse when Persona 3 came out, and things were looking quite grim for Atlus. Regardless, many decisions made in the game paid off and became a staggering success.

Years ago, I was emulating the game on my laptop and the old thing died when I was about to get to the final boss. I'm more than happy to buy this remake when it comes out so I can finish it!

At the time I was immersed in SMT Nocturne and later DDS. I did not realize at all how important Persona would become for me years later.

Persona 3 FES was the first one that I played in the series. Looking forward to the remake.

I'll have to make this a mission the next time I blow through Tokyo.

Hopefully soon, given the limited availability.

send me one while you're at it. I mean what's better than Whiskey and Persona? A cigar with the two, and that would be perfection personified.
