I don't get it, those who are going to download it, are going to download it. Whats the point in delaying the game. It is going to get pirated anyways & tools like DRM SecuROM are just pissing off potential buyers, those games get much easier to download and play, rather then buying it and playing it.
Step one is delaying something. Step two is cutting a PC version for a future release of games by this company at all.
Trouble with their line of reasoning is i can see people who might prefer it for PC instead getting it for the PS3/Xbox and then figuring 'well, i've already paid full price once for it, i'll download the PC version; that's the one i ideally wanted in the first place'.
The people who are going to steal are always going to steal. Delaying it for the legitimate PC game buyers is just going to make things worse; curry more resentment on that platform - 'they screw us, we'll screw them back!' etc.
And within 2 weeks someones gonna crack whatever piracy protection they have on there... but even if they can't, don't these developers get it already? The people who normally pirate games aren't gonna go like "oh, I can't pirate it, so I'm gonna buy it." They're just not gonna get it period. This won't change their minds at all.
