Is Japan's PS3 Supply Drying Up?

Buying one is hardly an impossible feat; however, recently there do seem to be a higher percentage of retailers with the machine sold out.

El_Colombiano5362d ago

What is this "PS3 Slim" you are talking about?

Ravage275362d ago

looks like it has begun...*put on shades*

rockleex5362d ago (Edited 5362d ago )

"v1c1ous" was correct all along. He said that PS3s were out of stock in that one Media Create article.

I thought he was just trying to spin and defend the PS3.

On August 18, 2009, Sony will announce that they will drop out of the race due to the failure of the PS3.

cmrbe5362d ago

Homicide5362d ago

PS3 Slim with PS2 BC at $299 would be the most epic thing evar~!! Make it happen Sony.

rockleex5362d ago

Gran Turismo 5 release date!!! >:D

And announcements of Zone of the Enders 3, Legend of Dragoon 2, Dark Cloud 3, Persona 5, and... Final Fantasy 7 remake!!! O_O

Microsoft Xbox 3605362d ago (Edited 5362d ago )

Please don't tell me the PS3 slim is going to be released in Japan first.

Worldwide simultaneous release Sony! I'll be first in line.

insomnium5362d ago

How can an xbox360 buy a PS3? Must be something I missed...-_-

Mc Fadge5362d ago

Maybe he wants one to accompany his Bad Company manual? :)

TheMART5362d ago

Sony will exit the consolemarket because their shareholders put an end to the Billions of dollars burned on the PS3. Announced @ GamesCom with a show where Kaz will do a little dance in a pink Hannah Montana outfit.

digger185362d ago (Edited 5362d ago )

Sony still haven't lost half of what Microsoft have with the Xbox division

ArcticWolfUK5362d ago (Edited 5362d ago )

lick, lick, sluuurp

MURKERR5362d ago

to grace n4g......even he sees the funny side and knows ps3s here to stay

so for once...bubbles mart

TheMART5362d ago

@ Digger

But the difference is... MS makes still money overall and has billions and billions in the bank. While Sony is having losses for a long time already and has less money available. And they're about even on losing money after all these years of PS3 Billions burned...

@ Murkerr

Dude, competition is healthy, so Sony needs to stay in the game. No doubt they'll lose this gen though. Which is completely healthy for business. Like Nintendo got beaten years ago and now found a new creative way to earn money. Although its not my prefered way they went but they got in a new group of people.

Thing is, Sony needs to put in more competition and focus their investments. No @ homo beta. Put that money into PSN where its needed to bring features that gamers want.

Really. Sony lost direction totally.

Tales Of Graces Ƒ Retro Review – Holding Out For a Hero

Gary Green said: Namco Bandai heard the call of many fans asking for the PlayStation release of Tales of Graces which was originally released seemingly exclusively for the Wii back in 2009. If you’re acquainted with the Tales series then Graces f won’t be something entirely new to you, yet if you’re a newcomer then you’ll find a plethora of gameplay mechanics and nuances that distinguish this series from other JRPGs. While the game finds itself following the traditional archetype of JRPGs, such as a somewhat clichéd story, Graces has something to offer to both veterans and newcomers alike.

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

LG_Fox_Brazil3d ago

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai3d ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing693d ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle2d ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Abnor_Mal2d ago

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

DaReapa2d ago

No. Square Enix owns the IP.

Abnor_Mal2d ago

Oh okay, Activision owned True Crime, but when that didn’t sell as intended it was canceled. Six months later Square Enix bought the rights and changed the title to Sleeping Dogs.*

*As per Wikipedia

boing12d ago (Edited 2d ago )

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.
