I believe it will hit in 2009 but if not then Gran Turismo 5 is my most anticipated 2010 title. Either way that game is going to take up alot of my time next year

God of War III has been anticipated forever, and how can they not mention such ambitous projects as Heavy Rain and Mod Nation Racers. No release date has yet been confirmed about GT5 but they could atleast concider it for their list since its likely we'll see it then. What about Ratchet & Clank a Crack in Time? MAG anyone, this is bound to be big no matter what you personally think so how the hell can you miss it?
The 360 list was better but it still missed a ton of games, Like for example Halo ODST??????
If they wanted to mention all these mutiplatform games they should have done it in a different section, besides outa all these multiplats where is Maffia 2 and modern warfare 2?

lol this article was pure crap. i mean they lacked so many anticipated games on the list yet they mentioned games we know basically nothing about and might suck. No GoW3, no Bioshock, no Mafia2, instead they mention games like LA noire, the agency and a god damn expansion to fallout. I mean wtf, when did fallout new vegas become more anticipated then any of the games i mentioned?

But Fallout Vegas is a new title with a new developer not a DLC as can be concluded from the title which would otherwise say fallout 3 Vegas. I agree with you on your point about the fact that we know little about many of the games on that list whereas many games of higher calibre which we infact know more about fail to make the list.

Yes we didn't know about Halo Wars, Halo ODST, Splinter Cell, and Alan Wake until mid or 3/4 into the year. I will give you L4D2, even though it was rumored it was a surprise release for this year. But come on who honestly thought Forza 3 was a shock? Probably the same idiots that actually think Gears of War 3 would be a surprise annoucement at next years GDC.

Wasnt really any bad games on their but i dont think some of the games on their should of been there, at least not over some of the ones that werent on their. Ps3 should of had God Of War 3 and Heavy Rain. The 360 list was also kinda weak (although i never heard of "I am Alive" and now im interested). Also i think some of the games on a couple of the lists might be out this year. Overall though id say its too soon to say which games are gonna be the "hottest" games of 2010.

Most of the games listed on each platform are multiplatform.

I think the people on this site are very exclusive focused. The reality is in the marketplace that multiformat games prove to be the most popular and sell the best.

But the title as well as the article itself suggest that its derived from popular opinion, ie what should be our most anticipated games, because they are infact journalists that specialize in gaming and thus their job is infact to represent the popular opinion unless they have said otherwise.
And its not the sales figures that rate the quality of a game, people are idiots and are always going to buy that whih is most heavily advertised and popular as a franchise rather than innovative gems made by smaller devps.

2010 its the year that all major third party will continue to decrease PS3 games because the PS3 its pure hype garbage that dont sell.

No one should said whats coming to the Patchstation 3, I mean look at their record its all lies about when their products will arrive, they said 12 major games will come out in E3 this year and the end result only 1 will come out this year.

i haven't seen the rest yet but judging from the dumb choices i see in the ps3 list, i'm have to say that gameplayer.com has one hell of a 'unique' taste. So unique in fact that i'm pretty sure only 0.1% of the entire gaming population agrees with them.

Granted,i found games that were off my radar (main reason why i read it) but what the hell! GOW3,GT5,HeavyRain,WKC,FFXIV.. ..none of them made the list???? Really?!?!
