Pokémon Gold & Silver Remakes New Details

The latest issue of Japanese magazine CoroCoro reveals more details about the forthcoming Pokémon Gold & Silver remakes. Pokémon Heart Gold/Soul Silver are due in Japan on 12 September and will come with a special PokéWalker accessory which tracks your steps and improves your Pokémon's experience.

The magazine reveals that you may be rewarded with items when two PokeWalkers are connected via infrared and it will log your daily activities and updates your PokéGear when you connect to Heart Gold/Soul Silver. The PokéGear has a phone, map, radio and item finder.

As for the Pokémon themselves, we are told that Entei, Suicine and Raikou will be at Level 40 and that the Notched-Ear Pichu will be unlocked when you trade your Pikachu coloured Pichu. The Notched-Ear Pichu knows Pain, Split Volt Tackle, Helping hand and Swagger but it can't evolve or be traded to another game. Red Gyrados can be found at the Lake Of Rage where it is raining.

this game actually sounds better and better every time i hear more about it

menoyou5398d ago

a bunch of BS gimmicky features. all they need to add is a spot to fight random people online. THATS IT. easy as pie. WTF man. THIS IS A COMPETITIVE BATTLE GAME WITH NO COMPETITIVE BATTLING!? only stupid friend codes that are so annoying i cant bother to use them.

You start off in a small town without a gym. You walk into the grass, professor helps you, gives you a pokemon and pokedex, you get all gym badges from the towns, occasionally fighting your rival(who you probably gave a hilarious name), fight the elite 4 and then your rival to become the master.

Am I right?

actually no, u forgot this part, then open a whole new region with new leaders to be so u can finally fight with Red(ash) in one of the toughest fights in the game.

I cant wait for this game, my favorite of the series =)

Sometimes you just need to move ahead and erase old game saves.

Lon3wolf2086d ago

Indeed especially when it is someone else's save files on a cartridge that they have sold on.

PhoenixUp2086d ago

This won’t be an issue on Switch when you can have one save file per account, meaning players can finally abuse the trading system

WeedyOne2086d ago

You really shouldn't give a shit about another gamer's save file on a used game you purchased... While its fun to walk in another's shoes for a bit you shouldn't feel guilty about erasing the save file. I mean if they cared about the time invested and keeping the save file i'm sure they would not have sold the game for pennies on the dollar to a used game store. Please wipe the save and start your own adventure. Game on!

franwex2086d ago (Edited 2086d ago )

I bought a used Final Fantasy Tactics for the Gameboy Advance and it has a save file of about 300 hours in it.
I feel guilty about deleting that file, luckily I can start my own separate one. I am hoping once I do and beat the game and compare my party to the previous player's and see what we did differently.

Why We're Still Playing Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver

NL:
With each new generation of Pokémon, the overall number of Pokémon in the National Dex has climbed far beyond the original 151. Obviously, Pokémon has been spread over multiple generations of hardware, and this has further made it more difficult to "catch 'em all". On the Game Boy Advance, Game Freak began a method of alleviating this somewhat with remakes of the first generation games, giving gamers a more streamlined method of collecting the original Pokémon. This was continued on the DS with remakes of the second generation of games, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.

Best games in the series to be honest.

Because if you play it like I do and are constantly adding newly caught Pokemon to your lineup it takes an eternity? Thank goodness for EXP share in the later games haha
