Gears of War 2 for PC Coming?

Although Cliffy B has mentioned before there will NOT be a release for the PC due to piracy, there has been some rumors resurfacing that it could come this Christmas.

Come on guys, maybe in the past sales made a difference, but once videogames have been so commercialized , sales no longer can fully reflect the quality of a game. =/

It's sad but true. However, I personally think Gears is a great franchise and the sales are justified, the same can't be said about LBP that is also an amazing game, but sold poorly in comparison which is a shame =/

Love how he said it was due to piracy there would be no pc release though as theres just as much piracy on 360 as PC thats why its selling so well as unlike the ps3 games for the 360 are FREE!!! Why pay £40 a game for PS3 when you can get em free for the 360??

I say its still possible to come to PC. Just maybe not in a way that everyone wants it to be in. Perhaps it will come to PC in a new Streaming cloud gaming service. One way for Microsoft to safeguard against piracy.

@ La Chance. Halo 3 PC is still very likely to come to PC in 2010. Microsoft has some unannounced games they want to reveal to come to Games 4 Windows Live. They didn't do it at E3, but they want to do soon I would think.

Bring it over to the ps3 with dedicated servers & no worries of the game being pirated, this game would sell very well & would kick azz on dedicated servers. I can only dream lol.

Just finished the SP campaign for Gears 2 on the 360 and loved it, but I'd buy it again for PC for updated visuals (and connections).

Gears 1 on the 360 was great, but the PC version was a step above as far as visuals & content.

Gears 2 (and the original) is the main reason that I bought a 360 as well. A high price to pay, but fantastic games.

yeah i bought a ps3 mainly for blu-ray and gow3....but then after i while i realized i got it for gow3 uncharted uncharted 2 mgs ff heavy rain....many others.
i am very very excited for the end of the year.

I loved the first one, second one just ruined the franchise for me. Pacing of game was just off, and the story was just retared, they just went for shock value, and didn't work.

Maria and Taz were put there to try and deepen the emotion of the game but did very little for me. I loved Gears 2 but the last boss was a JOKE.

Honestly, why shouldn't they keep this on the x360? They need to hold on to this as an exclusive console game, otherwise whats the point of having a console if your exclusives end up on the pc? Yes, im aware that its Games for Windows but wouldn't keeping this thing on the console help sell more 360s?

Sure, the upgraded visuals would be nice. I dont really care one way or the other but id think that all who really wanted to play this buckled down and purchased a 360.

Alan Wake was stated as a PC game ever since it was in development. It was always shown on the PC before and I believe only showed on the Xbox 360 for the first time at E3.

First game was "very good" on the 360 and "just about okay" on the PC... if Gears 2 PC is gonna be similar to the first game, then i'm not that interested and i certainly won't care if MS never release it on the PC, just like i'm not complaining about Halo 3 not coming to the PC....

One thing we have to remember is that 360 gamers and PC gamers have different expectations, likes and dislikes....something that does very well on the 360(or consoles in general) may not be so well received on the PC and vice versa. For example, Assassin's Creed.....nuff said.
