I recommend reading the link to the thread in the article for all those curious of SS:HD, SS3 and the Serious Engine 3. Great info. However, unfortunately doesn't sound like the SE3 is going to set foot on PS3, no Blu-Ray titles.

BWS19825405d ago (Edited 5405d ago )

but I noted he said "A: No. We have to be able to create downloadable games (XBLA, etc.), not Blu-ray titles."

PSN can hold a downloadable title and he said "etc...", but thus far I don't think it's coming to PSN last I checked. You 360 owners are lucky, this will be one more game I'm putting on my mental list of "must buy asap when I get my 360", but I'm assuming it's coming to PC too, either way I'm still getting a 360, and SS is phenomenal, especially in HD!

hell yeah i can't wait to kick ass on xbl.

It's funny but I been waiting for this more than anything on the 360 this year. I will of course be buying up the 360 goodies this fall, but none will get more play than Serious Sam.

Cajun Chicken5405d ago

Eh? its only been announced recently. Hopefully after this, we'll hear much more about Serious Sam 3.

Rumors of this game have been floating around the forums for a while, they just wern't confirmed. Just like the rumors of Quake 3, Goldeneye, Doom 2 and 3, Quake 1 and 2, Conker, Killer Instinct, Battletoads, Half Life 1, or Unreal Tournement 1. Any one of those games would find a nice comfy home on my 360 HDD.

most of those PC games would be uncontrollable on the 360

JasonPC360PS3Wii5405d ago

I don't know, when I bought Quake 4 on the 360 it had Quake 2 as a bonus and I thought it played very well on a console.

Cajun Chicken5405d ago (Edited 5405d ago )

I admit, I'm really wanting Doom 2 or Final Doom now. I really do like these classic FPS on consoles, they really work quite well. Multiplayer built in is edging me more and more to seeing about having old school deathmatches on XBOX live. This is easily the killer app for getting XBLG for me, so I'll be getting a sub once this is out.

Serious sam ftw.

These games was awesome...

walker_dawg5405d ago

I can remember first playing w/ my son early in his gaming and it was so much fun for us both. Can't wait!

Serious Sam to me was the real first Horde mode, with wave after wave enemies coming at you. Serious Sam is backwards compatible on the 360 but all it does is make me want this even more.

I wonder if the objectifying women parts were left in.

It be interesting considering how easily offended people are now compared to back then. 1984 George Orwell-ish.

This actually looks amazing. I'll need to download in the future

Duke Nukem 3D remake in Serious Sam 3 is absolutely glorious, way better than Duke Nukem Forever

DSOGaming writes: "A few hours ago, we informed you about a Star Wars Dark Forces mod for Duke Nukem 3D. However, we have even greater news for all you Duke Nukem fans out there. Steam member ‘Syndroid’ has released a remake of the classic Duke Nukem 3D game in Serious Sam 3 that works with VR and looks miles better than Duke Nukem Forever."

The gameplay needs to be fast paced and not slippy.

What is with these ancient humor shootes taking like 10yrs+ to make? I hope it isnt a nother Duke nuke'em forever.

spicelicka2618d ago

What the hell Croteam why is it VR only?

Sorry but this seems like an on-rails side project, I was really hoping for a full fledged game on all platforms :(

TheCommentator2618d ago

Wait, DX9? Why would anybody still support DX9? DX12 would be able to run on any DX because of its' Feature Level detection.

Anyways, glad to hear Serious Sam is coming back. Seriously.
