flOw Now For Those With Less Cash Flow

On this past Thursday's PlayStation Store update, an item update was missed in the excitement of Calling All Cars! That is the new limited time price of flOw.

It is normally $8.00, ThatGameCompany has reduced the price to $5.00 for a limtited time. You can get the game for that price until May 23, 2007.

I haven't played it. Is it any fun? What's the replay value?

SuperSaiyan46189d ago

Its not really a game its more of an experience as I once read someone else saying and I can confirm it is in fact an experience.

Its not something you will want to sit down and play but once you start it can hook you in.

However my question is how comes my game isnt as colourful as that picture??? Mine is all white, green and red cells appear as per the picture and red cells in other creatures as per picture but the background I have not seen that on mine and I played for ages.

is probably the most accurate word.

I can't help but speculate that this title accurately emulates an LSD-induced trip...only harmless, benign and inexpensive.

Just watching it in action instantly makes make me glazed-eyed and catatonic.

"Ooooh, the colours, maaaahhn!!!!"

It's a creature that becomes available I think on the 3rd or 4rth level. Each creature has it's own zone and own special button thing.

Some it's speed others it's attack and others it's poison :P

... just download the flash version for free and play it on your PC.

I play it...but it's so short...and the graphics etc look so much better. I'm actually excited to play this game :P

Is a great game to have on your PS3. There's many different 'organisms' you play as and you can figure out pretty quickly what food makes you bigger and what food gives you health. The levels or tiers your in is pretty cool also. You can see what's coming up on your way down to the bottom and if there's a big creature you can't beat you can always book it for the red dot (which brings you down to the next tier)
Fun game lasts about 2 hours about, so for 5 bucks it's a good buy. I like having my friends try it out. For how easy the controls are they still have a hard time figuring out how to move and usually going up is the hardest. I laugh every time

MasterCornholio3239d ago

Oh I didn't know there was a collection.

:)

Might have to pick it up.

Simco8763239d ago

Journey is an experience for sure. Check it out if you haven't.

trenso13239d ago

i always wanted to play this game fully i played the demo but didnt understand what was happening.

Simco8763238d ago

Thats kind of the point. You don't know. It's like just packing some bags and driving with no direction, you find direction along the way and form relationships. It's quite the social experience.

trenso13238d ago

you play with other people in this game?

Simco8763238d ago

you can meet people along the way, but you can't speak to them. Only motions and movement.

S2Killinit3239d ago

I didnt get to play this on PS3. Picking it up for sure.

rezzah3239d ago

hmmm I already own those games. All I want is Journey alone. I've beaten it probably nearly 20 times.

Memorable Music in Gaming #6

Chalgyr's Game Room writes:

We are at it again, with five more music tracks from video games that will stick in your head the way they did Hamza's. We have a pretty good selection here, courtesy of the home computer - no console entries this time.

Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars (MS-DOS) - Finding Nicole

Romantic scores are always a pleasure to listen to: Jerry Goldsmith's love theme from Chinatown, the saxophone-filled main menu music from The Blackwell Epiphany and Finding Nicole from Broken Sword are great examples. Nicole Collard is one of the major characters from the series and the primary romantic interest of the series' protagonist, George Stobbart. After listening to this sensual score, you too will fall in love with her!
