OXM UK names the top five most inappropriately named games on Xbox 360.
The five games are listed in order along with reasons why they have made the list and a suggestion for what they should have been called instead.
Ethan Butterfield from GameGrin wrote "Has there ever been a point when you’ve looked through your gaming library and wondered, “Huh, whatever happened to this title?"
First one was garbage. The second was a janky cheese-fest. And then their follow-up release, Raven's Cry, wasn't even complete at launch; doing so badly they re-released it under a new title more than a year later ... still not complete.
I'm probably in the minority but I loved the second one! I acknowledge that it wasn't a great game but I enjoyed it thoroughly and even platinumed it >_<
The first one was pretty bad, but I enjoyed the second despite its flaws. A bit rough around the edges, but it was a pretty decent RPG.
Hardcore Gamer: Despite the fact that hundreds of games release every year, the vast majority tend to go ignored by the gaming populace at large. Whether this is a failing of marketing, critical drubbing or just not living up to the expansive heights that we as gamers crave, the bargain bins are littered with titles that go unnoticed or maligned. With Lowered Expectations, we scrape the craggy underbelly of releases gone by to see if a change of perspective can reveal something worthwhile.
I played this game when it released on 360 and I actually enjoyed it. The game was super short but it was really cool bending the bullets and all that. I was thinking of picking it up for PS3 so I can get the Platinum trophy. I am sure the game is super cheap now.
Only in gaming can you engage in multiple planet-clearing world wars or explosive shootouts where one man somehow takes on hundreds of opponents. There's stiff competition as to which game really has the highest body count, so to make it simpler here we're going to generally avoid anything that's too “big picture” in the death department. Check out the top games with the most ridiculous body counts now!
Wanted isn't even out yet. And it's Grin doing it, and it's not been delayed for the movie - could actually be really good.
The Legend of Zelda. She wasn't even in Majoras Mask. Who's telling legends of Zelda? They're too busy telling children about the heroic adventures of Link, or the "unnamed" hero.
I LOLed at:
"1. LEGENDARY, SHOULD HAVE BEEN: Medicore"
Two Worlds should never be mentioned. The horror...
It should be "Gears of War 1.5"
