loser, and learn to read, they are reporting it, it is not them...man you guys are little trolls.

Homicide5756d ago

Play it. Too Human demo sucks. It looks like God of War.........graphic wise.

Rocko5756d ago (Edited 5756d ago )

ROFLMAO

Oh, and that link you provided is a REVIEW BY A MOD ON THE EUROGAMER BOARDS. Kotaku didn't play the game. Nice try lying though, we all know your butt-hurt over losing FF.

morganfell5756d ago

Well I played it and the damn demo sucks ass. And I mean klingon covered, unwashed, toilet paper balled, fungus covered reeking nasty ass too. Invisible walls you run against, control scheme that is hairbrained, spawning, spawning, spawning, more linear than ten miles of pasta, Team AI that is incredible idiotic and enemy AI that are obviously blind because they do not attack them, dumb bosses (get on the stairs and just grenade the hell out of them), incredibly convoluted level up system, aiming for the blind - you often find yourself helping humanity by blasting evil air molecules, a camera system that has been castrated, and worst of all they dropped the entire cyberpunk approach originally planned. These doughnuts have never even heard of William Gibson. Too Human blows massive chunks of putrid rotting flesh. 360 lovers, enjoy your own personal Haze.

Cool, I'm downloading it now...

Captain Tuttle5757d ago (Edited 5757d ago )

Is going pretty quickly as well.

Edit: Nah...it's going pretty slow now.

Winter47th5756d ago (Edited 5756d ago )

Don't waste the InteRwEBz bandwidth on this 10 years in the making disaster.

Fox015756d ago (Edited 5756d ago )

I downloaded the demo and played it.

I deleted it from my HD after 10 minutes of play; the game sucks; I can't believe I almost bought this crap (the combat system is a fkin mistake, and the game's just ugly).

At least I can say thank you SK for providing us a demo; you made me save 70euros.

FPS nut5756d ago

I downloading now, today is my day off.

Fox I somehow don't believe you when you say you have a 360, when I look at your past comments.

Fox015756d ago (Edited 5756d ago )

I have a 360 (that I bought almost 2weeks ago) and a 60gig PS3. I downloaded Too Human demo and didn't like; get over it.

elitewh0re5756d ago

downloaded and played. first impressions, the enviroments are massive however you are limited to the path and sadly can't jump on the walls, as 1up might have mentioned.

The graphics leave little to be desired and looked a bit unpolished around the edges. However it's an interesting design style for a traditional hack and slash and I was quite amazed by the scenery in places.

Gameplay.. I actually quite enjoyed it, to the guy above who said they played it for only 10 minutes I'd agree with you, but you have to give it a good playthrough to appreciate it. After I got used to the controls, (tad annoying right stick is attack instead of camera) I quite enjoyed it, getting new weapons and armour to customize the guy was quite enjoyable and after a while I was throwing out all kinds of crazy moves, the use of the guns works well but the controls could do with streamlining.

Menu's are rather clunky, it seemed to slow down when accessing equipment and the skills page could do with a few tips on how to use it properly as there's no onscreen help to explain, however after you've gained a few levels you can spend points here and there.

Story, didnt really get into it I was listening to AC/DC during my play through but the cinematics were quite well done.

Overall, I wouldnt recommend buying in it's current state unless you're into that genre specifically as its kinda hard to get into based from the demo, (maybe it will get polished before retail but who knows) however it merits a rent at least imo. I presonally will prob pick this up as the last recent scavanger hunt i played was Titan Quest and I particually enjoy these experiances...

Anyways hope this can help people decide.

gaffyh5756d ago

My 360 isn't connected to the internet, so I can't download the demo, butI'm expecting this game to be sh*t anyway like Haze/Lair were

dantesparda5756d ago (Edited 5756d ago )

The graphics arent really impressive, the textures look blurry in the distance and kind of rough up close, the framerate is very rough/jumpy/stuttery/framey. The guys faces all look the same when you are picking them, the bump/normal mapping are unimpressive, it looks low-res-ish looking, cuz it looks aliased to me, and the camera does suck and is very slow to turn, rpobably one of the worst cameras in a long time. Very unimpressive if you ask me. But i havent played to it too much yet, but that's cuz i dont really care to.

Megatron085756d ago

anyone that says they "played" a game like this for 10 mins and was able to make any kind of informed opinion about it is either lieing are just a plan old moron.

Anyways the game is a lot of fun once you get into it. It just takes a bit to get started.

xhairs95756d ago

Not exactly, you ever heard: people have their impression of you within the first 5 seconds? Yeah, same goes for games.

dantesparda5751d ago

And to people who make assumptions about how long other people play, are morons

Cool, will be popping home at lunch to get the sucker downloading.

Happy to see a demo for this after the mixed impressions. Always nice to try before you buy.

Too Human Free for Xbox Gamers - Download It Here

The action-RPG by now-defunct Silicon Knights is now free for Xbox gamers! Check out the Too Human free direct download link with armor sets here.

RazzerRedux1395d ago

Fun fact: I'm one of five people to have completed Too Human and actually liked it. It should be noted that the other four ended up in mental institutions....sadly.

excaliburps1395d ago

I completed it and kinda liked it. Controls were iffy but overall, I dug it. Shame Dyack was crazy. xD

IanTH1395d ago

Glad to hear it! So, when did you get out of the institution?

Marquinho1394d ago

Too Human was "The Order: 1886" of the 360.

Nitrowolf21395d ago (Edited 1395d ago )

I have never played this, mostly because I didn't own an Xbox prior to a few months ago Def. will check this out

darthv721395d ago

It certainly has a cool story and its a good game. it was just marred by long development time and kind of egotistical creator.

Looper1395d ago

Hey!! I was told survivors had all signed an NDA! I'm telling!

Kribwalker1395d ago

i really liked this one too. Always wished for a sequel, but sadly i don’t see it in the cards

excaliburps1395d ago

Yeah, it had a solid story and game mechanics. I remember the controls weren't smartly implemented, and every time you respawned, the animation was so long.

Fantangoooo1395d ago

I can't count the number of times I finished this game gridding for gear. Weird control but I liked it

Neonridr1395d ago

sounds very Polybius to me..

Poopmist1395d ago

Me and my friend beat it so many times. I got the best armor mathematically possible in it. Great game imo but their needed to be more tutorials on how runes work. The one that spawns singularities upon hitting someone was cash.

DerfDerf1395d ago

I actually really enjoyed it.

RamRod881395d ago

I beat it too. The controls were weird, but once I got use to them it was okay. I found the story to be actually half decent. Too bad there wasn't a sequel because I really believe if they have fixed the issues the first game had(controls, camera, etc), it could have been a great series.

HyperMoused1395d ago

I though it was great too, yay us

Anomander1395d ago

Beat it as well. it had a good story line. Overall it was decent.

glennhkboy1395d ago

I remember that I played the 1st stage. The control was so bad that I couldn't force myself to continue.

morganfell1394d ago

Fun fact...you're actually one of six :) That game was the reason I kept an Xbox 360 running until they released the very last B/C titles and it was among them.

Chronicle7801394d ago

I thought the game was ok, clunky but ok. Every time I go back to play it though it takes 20 minutes for the controls to 'click' again. Pity most of the advanced combos and controls aren't listed anywhere in the game.

Phoenix Down 87.0 – Too Human

Denis Dyack would disapprove.

darthv721643d ago

I liked this game. It has it's flaws but the story and mechanics are pretty good. It still holds up today.

Kribwalker1643d ago

i really enjoyed it when it came out.

It was free recently on xbox through BC. Id love to see this revived but sadly i think the legal issues would stop that
