i was hoping that with some extra time sega would be able to get rid of the glitches that plagued the 360 version, apparently not... another franchise down the tubes...
didn't they abandon the Dreamcast which was a awesome console IMO, to focus only on developing games?....but Sonic is getting progressively worse, VF 5 I is good I guess, but they should have some "hot" new IP's by now, right?...maybe they do and I just can't think of one right now, hmmmm???? -Get it together Sega with too many games like this you might end up out of the "software business" too.
Its a shame that SEGA keeps taking its good franchises to the grave. (SHINOBI anyone?). With Sonic theyre just making sure the game is as bad as it could be. Showing that the company is really DEAD. They dont have creativity anymore. I hoped like all of you that after releasing the PS3 version of this awfull game later then the 360 one they could improve some things. To my surprise the game, as with other 360 ports, is worse than the 360 version.
The game cant display well at 720p without a mess of framerate problems. Textures are bland and overall the game is worse. So why SEGA released this game later. They just better had made it 360 exclusive and cancelled it for the PS3. Even the 360 version displays at 1080p. Jesus, this is not good for SONY. I dont really know if the PS3 is that hard to develop for or that it really is not that powerfull. I love the PS3, but Im starting to get tired of sloppy and weaker conversions. Developers only want our money, they are not going to waste their time making the PS3 version of their game better.
Even worse, they are not even taking their time to make their games as good as the 360 version. If the 360 is superior thats ok, but developing games that are inferior to what the PS3 has to offer its not an excuse. I dont believe the 360 is superior. They are more or less equal graphically speaking. Besides Gears, the other games looked more or less equally. Its not an excuse for SEGA and other #rd party developers. Take FEAR for example. We are waiting more than 5 months after its release on the 360, just to get a tune down version. That when the PS3 is the house of one of the best FPS shoters and a graphically more impressive game in RESISTANCE. Come on DEVELOPERS!! Give us some RESPECT!! FANATICS...
If anyone bothered to look at both reviews for the PS3 and 360 you would notice that gamespot just basically cut and paste the 360 Review into the PS3 review and only marked it down one point and the Graphics and two points on the overall score.
I wonder if when they were determining what points to mark on the Graphics the looked at the info on there own website for the technical details of the resolution and decided like this. The PS3 run game only at a resolution of 720p were the 360 runs on 1080i, now which one comes out better hmmm . . ., the 360 version so lets mark it down buy one points, My good we are geniuses.
This Review sounds as if they didn't bother at all to actually go through the game and hoped no one would notice.
EVERY1 IS SAYING GAME SPOT IS ANYI SONY, I AGREE, SO WHEN I HEAR CRAP LIKE COD 3 IS BETTER ON XBOX 360 AND THEY STUPID COMPARISON VIDEOS AND STUFF IT'S LAUGABLE, WHO KNOWS WHAT MODS THEY MADE OUT OF THEM, IN FACT THE COPMPARISOSN WERE OF DIFFERENT STAGES IN THE GAME WHICH WAS THE MOST IMUSING PART, CNN EVEN SAID BLAZING ANGELS ON PS3 WAS BETTER HAHA, THIS SONIC GAME IS CRAP, CRAP I SAY HAHAHAHAHA.
