Game Informer has posted the first Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009 screenshots. In addition to hunting savage beasts, the player will face deadly avalanches, stampedes and piranha-infested rivers.
Activision is apparently putting a lot of production value into this latest Cabela's title, tapping Brad Santos, screenwriter and creative director, to pen the tale of Cole Rainsford, who has joined his estranged father in the African safari to hunt dangerous animals terrorizing local villages there. See, kids? Hunting is a noble pursuit.

Sadly, Cabela's 2009 is a mess overall. Tracking in Hunter Sense is way too difficult because trails are tricky to find; the mission structure is disjointed; and the graphics are rougher than a bear's bum. Best leave this one out in the wilderness.
