More Info on the Forum Lottery:
What it is-a monthly lottery contest where the winner(s) will receive various prizes.
How it works- Using a random generator engine we will at the end of each month choose a forum, active thread and a winner.
The finer details:
-Single post wonders, spammers, rude or offensive remarks all result in a DQ.
-The sub-forums located in the N4G related block (Announcements & Rules, contributor, ect) will not be eligible to win, nor will comments made within the Randomcity thread.
-You can only win once every six months.
_______
NOTE: Winners of the October Blog Post and Forum Lottery will be announced later this week.

Max Power4923d ago

So the Forum Lottery winners will get both 1 and 2?

Crazyglues4923d ago

Who won the October FORUM LOTTERY ???

-Alpha4923d ago

Going to do the review, contributing is pretty competitive, but perhaps I'll start doing that too though I don't want to end up scraping up random hit sites :/

Can we win more than once a day/year/month?

"You can only win once every six months."
Last line "The finer details".

Cat4923d ago

I edited to try and make it more clear - the 6 months rule is for the Forum lottery, but the other contests (Contributor, Blog/User Review does not have that stipulation. You can enter to win consecutive months, regardless of past wins).

Hope that helps!

LordMarius4923d ago

Ah cool, Kinect here I come.
"the ten most active members of the month wins!"
Does that mean 11 people will win? or the ten most active members vote for the best user review?

Cat4923d ago

They vote - "The top user review as voted by staff and the ten most active members of the month wins!"

Raendom4923d ago

Have you picked the winners for other October contests like the forum lottery or the blog/user review?

Or is it just the contributors who are picked so far?

blur994923d ago

"NOTE: Winners of the October Blog Post and Forum Lottery will be announced later this week."
The last line.

That genuinely, genuinely sucks. The reboot has clear flaws, but it really felt like a solid first step for this team to receive *greater* investment.

Alone in the dark is a fun game so that's unfortunate
