REVIEW: Siesta Fiesta (3DS) - Fox43

Fox43:
"We’ve had plenty of block-breaking, bouncing ball games over the years, from “Breakout” to “Arkanoid” to “Ricochet.” The structure is so simple that any new game in the genre needs to seriously consider theming and polish in order to grab attention. “Siesta Fiesta,” new to download for Nintendo 3DS, clearly accomplishes just that."

Siesta Fiesta (3DS eShop) Review - Cubed3

Cubed3:
"The classic game Breakout has had more than its fair share of re-releases and clones since its debut in the mid-1970s. Siesta Fiesta on Nintendo 3DS eShop looks like just another attempt at first glance, but it's well done and features so many weird and wonderful variations that it's impossible not to like.

Most of Siesta Fiesta sees the player controlling a bed. The rationale for this is never really explained. There's not even a hint of a coherent storyline; it's almost as if the makers started off with the name and worked backwards. Not that it matters, of course - a title like this couldn't care less about making sense. Anyway, the bed is used to bounce a falling ball around the screen and hit blocks to give points."

Preview: Siesta Fiesta @ EGX 2014 : 3DSBlessed

Cyburn writes : "Another game which was part of Nintendo’s indie selection at EGX 2014 was Siesta Fiesta, developed by Mojo Bones. Similar to classic games Breakout and Arkanoid gameplay centres around a bouncy paddle projecting a pinball. Intriguingly, however, the bouncy paddle is this time a spring bed, and the pinball a baby (which is in a deep sleep and curled up). As always you must endeavour to hit as many blocks as possible in order to accumulate points. Avoiding obstacles is also an important gameplay element, and your skills to this end is added towards your total score at the end".

Review: Siesta Fiesta (Pure Nintendo)

Pure Nintendo: "Siesta Fiesta is a charming game all around and is one of my favorite 3DS titles despite the issues I had with the controls. This coming from someone who was initially skeptical based on the gameplay videos I had seen prior to its release. On top of everything else going for it, who could resist the tiny cheers coming from the cute, chunky Fiesta characters! Mojo Bones took the Breakout formula and turned it on its head. Not simply by copying what had been done in the past but rather adding their own unique style and blending it with some interesting mechanics. While the controls were not perfect, this game is not one that should be overlooked. Siesta Fiesta is a great game at an even more spectacular price. At $5.99 Siesta Fiesta is a highly polished and balanced experience that is a must have for anyone with a 3DS."
