"Modified" version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution rated - Wii U release in the works?

Square Enix could be on the verge of announcing a Wii U version of sci-fi epic Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

CVG spotted a listing for a “modified” version of the title with the Australian Classification Board, which it speculates could be for DLC or possibly even a Wii U port.

A 2-3 year old game they would have been better off porting Tomb Raider.

The bigger problem is how are you going to charge full price for a game that is 2 years old? When you can get it for like 5-10 bucks on the other platforms how can you justify charging $50?

They would have to add a lot to the game to warrant a price increase..

A significant graphical upgrade, all DLC in the disc and some brand new content would be the only way to get me to pick up a package of that nature.

Charging full price for a port of game that's only a few months old is one thing, but over two years old? That's extremely questionable.

I'm not paying full RRP if it's a lazy port but I might be tempted if they put some effort in... Soup-up the graphics and add content or sell it at a discount.

(and yes, they would be far better off porting Tomb Raider IMHO)

Wii U owners need to speak with their wallets (metaphorically writing) if they want the same type of 3rd party support garnishing Microsoft and Sony platforms.

I suggest buying titles from the eshop (digitally), only if you're apart of the 10% discount promotion, though.

Just make another game.

They must think that the people who bought the Wii U never had a PS3 or 360.

These devs are really going crazy trying to make a fast buck and reuse assets to save money and profit. Like really? This isnt a good thing and i wouldnt buy this no matter what the same way i wouldnt buy Ninja Gaiden either. These companies are getting away with murder!!!!

I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.

The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.

How would XCX work without dual screens functionality?

Same as Paper Mario color splash. One of the best wiiu games and getting even better with dual screen. Same reason why i prefer Splatoon 1

This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.

Stevonidas3d ago

Devil's Third is HIGHLY underrated.

They should remake Starfox to the switch 2. Very beautiful game during gamecube days.

Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.
