Holy Sorcery Story is a PlayStation Vita roguelike from Compile Heart. Similar to the Shiren the Wanderer series, monsters move only after Pupuru makes her move. Pupuru levels up after gaining enough experience, but once she leaves the dungeon her level goes back to 1. Because of this system, carrying better equipment becomes an important factor.
At the Anime Expo today, Aksys announced Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God (better known as Holy Sorcery Story) for North America.
For those who are interested to see some impressions and gameplay on this game.
In essence your out to look for the super Curry ingredient to save your Curry shop from a Walmart type establishment. Kind of like Atelier (Arland series) saving your Atelier from going down. lol!
This is great and all, but I would like to see more traditional jrpgs like the Tales series come to the Vita. Might end up buying this anyway to support localization efforts, as long as its a good game.
Siliconera: Anyone want to license a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon-like game for Vita where you play as a girl who delves into dungeons for curry ingredients?
Why are we asking?
Because Compile Heart is looking for a publisher to bring the game to North America and Europe.
Holy Sorcery Story’s dungeon crawling adventure may be simple and full of strangely cute monsters, but beware, there are many dangers that await!
